Hello everybody,

I'm almost done with my application. I've started printing emails which me and my boyfriend send to each other since 2008.
But I'm getting huge doubts about how to do it.

I've printed around 7 emails in total now and that's already over 25 pages. Most of the emails are more than three pages. If I have to print all the emails we've ever send to each other...man...
We both have over 200 pages in our hotmail inbox full of emails from each other. Do I really have to print all of them?

I think I can make a whole book out of it if I have to do this, bigger than "the Lord of the Rings" or "Harry Potter".

How did you do this?

I printed the list of emails that shows date and title of email. I printed out about 1/3 of the emails just choosing randomly. Of course I printed out all the emails from the time we learned each other knowing ( about a month) and all of the last week before sending yje application to show that we are actively communicating. It was still a lot of pages. I explained on a separate sheet what i did.

Hey remrov,

it really also depends on your history of relationship, and what other proofs you submitted... For us we only printed 3 emails from each other, and no skype... but we also live together, have a rent contract together, and pictures from me with his family and the other way around... as well as holidays trips together etc... it's difficult to know from CIC what would they want, and what is enough. I have not been approved yet, ( I'm an april applicant) so maybe they will ask for more proof, maybe it will be enough... just print whatever you feel is relevant, and maybe printing a screen view of your inbox, and a few emails (once a month, once a week, depending on how long the relationship was) would be enough? difficult to say.

Good luck!

I printed out all my emails for a 2+ year period of time. My spouse is from Cuba so marriage fraud is targeted there so I printed everything to show how our relationship progressed. I really think it depends which VO office you will be applying to.

I printed the list of emails showing the dates and subjects, rather than printing each email.

I also sent only one page of each month's phone bill showing calls/texts rather than the entirety of all my phone bills, and a representative sample of IMs (about 4 pages of IMs total...if we'd printed all of them, in 10 pt font, it would have been 2400 pages!). We included a note with each type of proof explaining that it was a sample, and we would send more upon request. We concentrated on documenting our visits using itineraries, boarding passes, photos, etc.

I'd print off the list of emails, then select a few as samples. No need to use thousands of pages printing every single thing you've ever sent!

Okay,

Right now I'm just printing the most important emails. Like when we were talking about living together in the Netherlands and also right before and after we visited each other.

It's still quite a lot then. I'll see later what I"m going to send or not.

I printed everything and then massively pruned it before sending. We didn't have very lengthy emails, so I took a screenshot of each one then combined 3 on a page as jpegs in Word. Maybe print out your inbox with your partner's emails only.. search your inbox so only those show up, then take a screenshot of each view and arrange it to print so that you can combine a few screenshots on a page.
