Principal Applicant Education Details - CEC

Hi,

I need assistance in filling the Principal Applicant Education details under Schedule A Point 7. Education section.

As i have completed my schooling and graduation and post graduation in India, need to know map it with expected levels of experience in application form.

Need to know what schooling grades comes under Elementary/Primary school and Secondary/high school. Similar for University College. Also, where should I mention the Post Graduate Diploma. In my case following are details as is case in India

Grade(1-10) Grade (11 - 12) Grade (13 - 15)
10 yrs 2 yrs 3 yrs 1 yr

7 years in secondary/high school -- Name of school or board?. As 10th & 12th grade exam is conducted by board. In my case Maharshtra Board of higher secondary education

So it is very simple buddy, You need to put maharashtra board for entire 12 years, one of my friend from Mumbai did his landing in march 2012 did the same, he advised me that actually but I am from chennai so I must specify my schools, it depends on provincial rules as educational systems are controlled by state government in India

Thanks mate. Primary school is from grade 1-4 right. Also, should we mention the elementary school period (Jr KG, Sr KG)

No do not mention your PRE-KG/ SR KG/ LKG's.formal education starts only from grade 1.

Adding to this point, This is because we get one certificate for Grade 10, which covers for 1 to 10th standard - This clearly tells us that our formal education starts at Grade 1 and not KG levels

What should be mentioned for Type of Certificate/ Diploma for primary schooling as back home the state boards or school does not issue certificates / diploma on completion of primary education?

2002 to 2006 - yyyy university - Engineering Degree
2000 to 2002 - xxxx school - higher secondary certificate
1990 to 2000 - xxxx School - state board certificate

Hope this helps, this what that friend of mine did, so that it's even better than they ask. This is how I was advised from my friend who got his PR.

However, if you prefer only high school and higher secondary, then you can start from 6th standard to 10th for your 10th grade certificate and 11th & 12th for 12th grade cert.

So I believe you did not select any value from elementary/Primary school selection

I entered all the details, from my grade 1. Though it does not have any value, for us it's just one certificate 10th which indicates that we have completed 10 years of formal education

If you are keen on that part, then I would suggest you this, before giving your high school details, do this,
Yyyy to yyyy - primay school - "N/A"

Simply put N/A in there, then for 6th to 10th you can put the 10h certificate, by doing this we say that there is no formal certificate for primary school but if you do that then there is no formal certificate till 9th grade right?
One of my friend did this, we both had disagreement on this.... LOL

It's such cumbersome. So what values you selected in 4 dropdown boxes for primary, secondary is it 5 + 7 + 4(engineering)

Is it drop down box? I believe it is like check box where you should write some numeric value followed by the years, school name, city country , type of cert.

I left the 4 th one blank and entered 3 values as u mentioned and accounted for complete 16 years in the school and type of cert.

Not sure which form have you filled but the Principal applicant form has dropdown and one needs to select the number of yrs from the list.
