Principal applicant didn't received MR but spouse did

Hi guys,

We are in the situation where principal applicant didn't received medical request, but spouse did. Principal applicant didn't have medical examination before.

How is that possible? Did some of you've been in the same situation? Thank you.

you will get it. Its common....if you dont get in a week send a mail to CIC...before that check your spam folder

Principal applicant still waiting for MR. Over 2 weeks and we didn't receive reply from CIC to our email. How long you usually wait for their reply?

That waiting becomes frustrating. Should we send third email to CIC or call help center?

No. CIC always sent email just to Principal Applicant, so they sent MR request for spouse to principal applicant email.

Strange how you also didn't received it and how they didn't reply. On which email you sent question?

Why your lawyer didn't email CIC? Lawyer should suggest what person needs to do in that situation. Did lawyer said what other cases did after not receiving MR?

Till now my lawyer emailed CIC for three times but they didn't replied. Now she asked me to send a fresh email to CIC on the same issue and i am contacting CIC on the following email id

It is just frustrating for me as i am not able to think of any reason but my lawyer confirms that it is by mistake. She also confirmed that in the similar cases they immediately received the response but in my case no luck at all from last 30 days... fingers crossed.

What she advised me is to get my medical done along with my family and send it to her so that she will forward it to CIC. As here she is trying to see nothing is pending from my side and once they reply we will be able to catch up the situation.

I'm in a similar situation: I (principal applicant) received my IMM1017 on Feb 21, but my wife hasn't gotten hers since then. We already did our medicals last Friday (Mar 07), so she may not get hers in the future, either.

The strange thing is, the clinic could find her UCI in the e-medical system and her IME# as well, so they had no problem letting her do the medical which isn't even "upfront", technically...

Have you guys tried to do your medicals? Can the clinic locate the UCI and IME numbers of your/your spouse's, without the IMM1017?

ZingyDNA - We didn't take medical yet. In the Clinic where we are booked in, they don't do upfront. Receptionist said they can't check in eMedical system our information even though they have eMedical system.
Strange how one clinic can check UCI and other not. Did CIC change your status online - MR received?

No, no update on CIC website yet. I think it'll take at least a couple days for the clinic to upload X-ray/lab data, and we did the medical last Friday afternoon...

Can your clinic find the UCI of the spouse, who got MR?
I read your post again, you mean they can't even look up anyone's UCI and/or IME numbers? That's really weird if they do e-medical. How are they supposed to enter your results?

Now i have the similar situation, i went to clinic and the panel said that they can't to the medical's for me as i don't have the IME# with me... ........... i will update you guy's more on this tomorrow as i am planning to visit the panel again..

I'm still waiting for reply from CIC... Damn thing is that we can't even trace what happened.

I'm trying to file the GCMS notes from my side to see what is the update on my file...

Same thing happened to me. clinic checked my UCI and it was not found. They said they cannot do the medicals without UCI in the system.
I spoke to the doctor directly, he suggested me that they would give the UMI number and forward the same to CIC so that CIC match the medicals results.

Don't relay on the people in reception they know little but they act like they know everything

Yes, that's the upfront medical. I read the CIC medical handbook and you can do it w/o UCI or IME#. They will generate the UMI# to link to your UCI later. I think you have to let CIC know and link the UMI and I'm not sure that'll create any confusion...

Some clinics have a policy not to do upfront medicals, though. The one I went to basically said they'll do it for anyone as long as they can find their UCI in e-medical.
