438 is a good score first of all... but currently the draw is hovering around 440+ mark...

So you are there, but just falling short by a few points... This can be improved.... How? through a higher first language score and/or second language(French) score......

Spouse maybe able to contribute points in terms of:
-Education(say a PhD or master degree or 2 or more bachelors degrees)
-Language scores
-Canadian Work Exp

But yes I agree with you it will add to the stress of PoF, but its only an increase of CAD 3056(approx AED 8,600)

Only 3 points away, the thing is I can't really improve my own profile that much. I scored an 8 in IELTS and am due for renewal as it is approaching the 2 year mark but I doubt I can get an 8.5 or so. French is literally my kryptonite, I used to study it in school and I only came out with "Je voudrais manger" :S

The odd thing is that when I added my future spouse to the calculator I actually got less marks. I guess will have to work on my (and her) french after all

I actually was preparing myself to save around 16,000 CND which I guess would cover my spouse as well, I had thought that for only one person it would be 15,500 or so.

Adding a spouse lowers the marks, because of the language score(s), ECA. Once you include these chances are likely that you score will increase

i really dont think it matters if you take loan from one bank deposit it in another, leave it in there for 7 months and provide 6 month statement so that a large deposit does not show. dont mention the loan at all, they wont know.

Does the Canadian immigration have the authority to ask the central bank in any country on all the bank statements/accounts of a citizen/expat? I see through your statement that they should not have the authority to do so, would just like to confirm.
