Hello everybody,
I would like some comments on this I'm using bullets to organize the info better:
Info:
My biggest worry is that even though there is a chance I get my PR by August, I might get it later than that. Then they might request new medicals, which include x-rays. I wouldn't be able to have them done, due to my pregnancy.
Questions:
I hope you guys have some insight that will help us prepare for the (very different) possible outcomes to this. We really want the baby to be born in Canada!
I would like some comments on this I'm using bullets to organize the info better:
Info:
- I'm pregnant, which is great news for us. I'm due early November.
- My husband, Canadian by birth, is sponsoring me as his wife. We're on Stage 2, having gotten an AOR email stating that the process in my VO takes between 10 and 12 months to complete, which means between August - October this year. The statistics show that many get their PR starting from 7 months, which was actually what another Chilean got in their AOR (theirs said the process takes between 7 and 10 months, as opposed to mine that said 10 to 12).
- What I understand is that if when they're ready to issue the PR, if the medicals are the only thing needed to grant it and it's been within 15 months since their original date, the officer can ask for a year-long extension and grant the PR.
- My medicals expire mid-May; 15 months would be in August.
My biggest worry is that even though there is a chance I get my PR by August, I might get it later than that. Then they might request new medicals, which include x-rays. I wouldn't be able to have them done, due to my pregnancy.
Questions:
- Would this delay my process? Would I have to wait until after the baby is born to take the x-rays and then have my PR granted?
- Is there an alternative to this, like doing an MRI instead?
- Is there some kind of paperwork/request that can help in this situation? I doubt it, but I thought I would ask anyway
I hope you guys have some insight that will help us prepare for the (very different) possible outcomes to this. We really want the baby to be born in Canada!
