Dear fellow applicants,

This is my story so far.

I am pre June 2010 applicant. My application was received by Accra V/O in August 2009 , first medical was done in June 2010 .In September 2010 I relocated with my family to the UK from Nigeria and immediately informed the visa office to update my current address, I also informed them of the fact that my wife was pregnant and would be due in May 2011. I got a response from the visa office that as soon as the baby is born, we should add the child to our application( by sending copy of child's passport , 4 passport photographs , C$150 , updated IM008 and IMM5406 and birth certificate of child) .My wife gave birth to the baby in April 2011 and all required documents were sent in June ( delay was as a result of child's passport). We finally got our re-medicals form on 8th of July( 2 weeks after sending documents) including medicals for the new baby. MR was done on 21th July and receipt already sent to V/O. At this point we have not received request for UPDATED PCC.

Thanks and cheers.

jay10,

They have done nothing but making the waiting applicants calm by changing their ecas changed from RbVO to IP but RbVo status inside IP. They clearly indicating that they dont need much of the pending applicants now. we're hoping for the best, days will turn around for sure in 2012 Winter or Summer. Not much to expect as the speed seems to be not gaining momentum due to the criteria their parliamentarians have discussed and unanimously agreed on.

This is reply form CIC of mine inquiry..It is very frustrated..
Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.

If you applied as a Federal Skilled Worker on or after February 27, 2008 and before June 26, 2010 , your application will take two years or more to be processed. This is due to the fact that Canada received over 425,000 applications under this program during this period.
Unfortunately, it will take longer to process federal skilled worker applications submitted under the first set of instructions (between February 27, 2008 and June 25, 2010) than originally projected.

During this time, the department received applications for more than 425,000 people, and 144,000 of these have not yet received a decision.

This number represents more than twice the number of projected admissions under the federal skilled worker program in 2011, so many of these applicants will have to wait two years or more to be processed.

Very frustrating. What about those 144000? Are not they In Process or yet to get any AOR? Please comment if anybody can guess.

pal83 and deba

144,000 is a staggering number and dont remember they have may be more than double, triple, quadruple or may be more applications of that number of Pre June 2008. I am sure they will do something good in the next 2 years to clear them. frustration will not bring anything. its the game of waiting

you know your BFD's jnathan?
I ordered caips before but points not calculated and my bfd's is in october 2011, so eagerly waiting for that bfd.

OMM

Hi Jnathan,

Thanks. Those 144000 are waiting for decision to be taken by VO. Does this mean these applicants are yet to get any update like AOR?

I m sure CHC will not start processing cases like ours before Jan2012,my ecas is still RBVO and not yet changed to InProcess

Processing time has been changed .For London VO its now 20 months instead of 16

omm,

my BF'd was in March 2011. everything was done and what I have seen in my CAIPS that my file reached on the verge of issuing MR by my VO and got stopped for a mysterious reason ( i guess Ministerial instruction, Canada's job market needs for other NOC's other than mine which has flooded CIC's inventory, fund cuts for investigation etc). I could say something I had known your BF'd , get the CAIPS and let us know your BF'd date.

deba,

there are all sorts of applicants in that slot. most of them got 2nd AOR and reached IN PROCESS, a lot of them have not yet got 2nd AOR and for some, their background checks started and stopped on the way through. it is now widely known that between 2008 and 2010 they have received twice the number of applicants that they can process. What I have seen from 2009 when I joined this forum, CIC has made a priority list based on mysterious facts and issued visas to those who were on top of their priority list.

as many of the experienced members have already been saying in this forum that last quarter of this year is the time everyone is looking for. We'd comment after that. in the meantime, a few 0213's of Buffalo and ND have seen visa issued but I havent seen lights yet been torched for 4131's.

Hi Man in Black,

Processing time is not actually committed. The times are based on how long it took to process 80 percent of all cases between July 1, 2010 and June 30, 2011. Processing times are subject to change. Yes, it has changed today. For SVO it has reached to 16 from 14
