I most likely will send my citizenship application in October of this year when the required residency requirement of 1095 days will be fulfilled within the last 4 year.

Will someone advise me on the following two things? Please.

1) I couldn't find my copy of COPR or the confirmation of PR or the paper that I am given a copy of with seal when I entered Canada first time as a PR (I can't think of the correct name of this immigration document)

SO WHAT SHOULD I DO TO GET A REPLACEMENT?

2) What should I do to get proof of my English language proficiency?

Note that, I came as FSW but I didn't have to provide any IELTS even though English is not my first language. In all likelihood, I have to include a test result. What would be the quickest way to give and get a test result that is acceptable by CIC? I am in Toronto.

You may want to contact CIC for a copy of it. They should have it.

If you have a job, you could get a letter from your manager where you work.

Or if you volunteered somewhere in TO area, get a letter where they may say you have done an awesome job.

Thank you.

But, where should I apply specifically to obtain this immigration document, that is the question.

Also, I don't think what you advised about proof of English language proficiency is correct. I looked at the CIC website and the question I have is whether I should spend $150 to take CELPIP test. Two years ago, I took the Canada Language benchmark test at YMCA in Toronto and scored well, however CIC in their website specifically states that the initial assessment test is not acceptable. So, I am confused, if someone scores well in their initial assessment test, LINC doesn't enroll that person for their classes anyway. So, how can someone provide proof of such, other then to pay the $150 for the CELPIP test?

I am not sure where the exact address is. They keep changing their address...

If you passed that test, you will passed that test too.

Trust me, I have been in Canada for 9 years. I have spent close to 10K for visa, permits, PR, and such. 150 is nothing!

Anyone else can advise what the immigration document is called (the one that is attached with Passport and which is detached at the point of entry and given a copy of after seal)? This document is required to be submitted with the citizenship application right?

I lost this copy. Wondering how to get a copy.

Its called Confirmation Of Permanent Residence (IM5292). You will require to send a copy of it along with your citizenship application and you also have to present it at the time of your Citizenship exam day too. Kindly go on the link provided, you will find all the required information in detail. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/certcopy.asp
Hope this answer your question.

Thank you very much.

I lost this document. I heard that one can request a replacement of this document. How do I do that?

Anytime buddy good luck with your application.
Thanks again.

Could you please advise, if I should get my travel history with CBSA included in the citizenship application package or is it ok just to give CIC the permission to collect it themselves?

Well you are more then welcome to get them yourself under the privacy act however you don't need to for CIC as in their new application forms they have a section which you will tick to say "YES". They will collect your history directly from CBSA. I will still suggest since you have time as you are planning to apply in October, get your traveler history from CBSA and match it with your passport, they often make mistakes in stamping you passport or simply the entry in the Integrated Customs Enforcement System (ICES) is not made due to several different reasons. So get you history match it with your passport that will give you peace of mind that all is good with CBSA. Just to point out again you DO NOT require to send it along with your application CIC will get it by their self if they need to if they think there is a need for it.

When I arrived in Canada under FSW category, I was not from a visa exempt country. So, does the Form IMM 5292 still applies to me or it is different document?

Also, I am still confused about the English Proficiency Test.

Anybody know how long it takes to complete and get certificate from the LINC program? I am in Toronto.
