I had originally posted about my mother who is a PR in Canada but landed in the 70's and was never given a PR card and has never traveled. I booked mexico after getting her US passport and didn't realize she needed a PR. We applied for the application however its well past the processing date and still no approval or card. We leave in a week so ive given up hope that it will come. That being said from all the information on here it seems that if we don't mention that she is a PR at the airport in Mexico we shouldn't have any issues getting her back into Canada and can explain once we land in Canada. So this is the route we are going to try.
What i am worried about is the immigration forms we fill out on the plane for Mexico, they ask for our address. Will her having a Canadian address cause them to question her? Just trying to prepare as much as possible before we leave.
