PR wait time and COPR

Afternoon All,

I've been browsing through some of the threads but just wanted to understand the flow of the whole PR process. I received a mail from IRCC Permanent Residence Confirmation Portal (Etobicoke - ETO3296) on June 25th and have submitted the personal and port of entry details on the same day. Understand the next step would be for the Etobicoke office to arrange a username/ID set up so I can log in to upload photo for the PR card. Does anyone know the wait time for this is?

I've called the Etobicoke IRCC office and they couldn't tell me much on timing and timing on next steps for that matter. I don' suppose i can use this letter to apply for OHIP? My insurance plan is about to expire and from the thread the timing of responses varies greatly it seems from weeks to Months.

Most pressing issue is work, without the PR, looking for work is near impossible with COVID and firm's willing to sponsor through Visa.

Any insight would be much appreciated.

Did you link your PR Card to your GC key? You may see some update. I received my card but they never update my portal account,it still in review until now.

Hey, how did you call the Etobicoke office specifically? Do you mind sharing the phone number?

That part was a bit of an ordeal. I tried and did everything that was asked to get it linked as suggested by the agent but in vain.. I literally screen shot every single step (over 40+screen prints) and had it send to the agent via the web portal request form and after a month they got back to me and said something was missing but didn't state what??!!..
And asked me to repeat and screen print the entire process again. After I got that response I just gave up as a week later I received an email confirmation of my COPR.
Unfortunately, has been a couple of months but still no sign of the physical card through the post. Is there a way to get status or just another wait game?

I called their general line and waited like all others for 30mins+ but failed to get through so left a voicemail and someone did get back to me the next day. Try this number and leave a voicemail and your number. They will call back, it could be a few days but they do.

Hi guys,

I have a temporary PR paper validation though still awaiting for the actual PR card to arrive via post. As you can see from the thread, it's been a year.. is this normal or would the card be lost now?

Is there a number I can reach to find out?
