Didn’t use to be an issue but IRCC apparently is following up with PNP applicants about whether they left the province.
What kind of follow up you think? Is it before approaching renewal process or while going through it?

if you can look into my case, I would highly appreciate your insight. I studied in Alberta for 2 years then got a job as a dept Manager in a store in rural alberta North where I worked for a couple more years in which I applied for Alberta PNP Opportunity stream for alberta students who work in alberta, i did not have to submit any settlement plan or intention to reside which is a standard process for alberta express entry stream. Once I got my PR after 6 months post that I got an opportunity to be an assistant manager in rural bc town an hour away from the alberta town I was living in. Because these are two border cities. So I took that opportunity, it wasn’t higher paid but it had potential to be a good career move. After three months I was told in new job in bc that they won’t be moving me past probabtion. Now that I already signed yearly lease in new town I had to look for work there, where I found a technician job which pays way more than any job I ever did substantially. So I am there as of now and as approaching my citizenship eligibility, this question really bothered my mind. So would love any insight you have. I did not move to any bigger city, I actually moved to an even smaller rural city in BC for about 12k people and alberta one was 70k people. So it was just cuz of work.
Assume proof that you either settled in the province, if a job offer was claimed that you actually worked for the employer or you at least have proof that you tried to settle in that province before moving. This seems to be a new initiative so unclear what if anything will happen.
Not an immigration lawyer or a consultant but personally wouldn’t worry. You did continue to live in AB and then moved to a small community in BC that was closeby. Think IRCC may really be targeting those who left very soon after getting PR or who didn’t work for the employer included with PR application. This is relatively new so unclear. As a PR you have freedom of movement and it doesn’t appear that you misrepresented your intention to live & work in AB.
