I have heard of applications being withdrawn at even a very late stage and they still allowed it.
By applying too early, you opened the door for them to investigate you based on you not meeting the RO. It doesn't matter if you met the RO later. They will still consider the 5 year period previous to your application date because those are the rules.
Now, if you let it go on, maybe they won't report you. Maybe they will eventually call you in for an interview and tell you that because you didn't meet the RO when you applied, they will not issue you a PR card or they might also invite you to withdraw your application.
