Hi,
I am a canadian citizen currently working in USA on a Tn visa. My wife was recently approved For Canadian PR. She is offered a COPR letter (Confirmation of PR) and need to enter in Canada by 23rd July. I am currently not in a position to move to Canada which is a condition of her PR. I wanted to find out if there is any option other than withdrawing the application for sponsorship. Can I not temporary move (for 2 weeks for example) and later return to continue working in USA. Is it going to affect my wife's PR status.
We actually drove to the detroit ambassador border to get the PR confirmed for my wife on last friday but she was denied as I was told that I must move with her (meaning leave my US job, apartment, and everything in USA). The not so nice officer told us that we have until the 23rd of July to move.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks much.
