Hello my friends,
Please, one of you who has the following conditions, answer my questions:
  1. Has applied online for PR under protected person - In Canada category.
  2. Has overseas dependents
  3. His/Her processing has been started by the IRCC successfully without asking resubmitting of the following forms .
and now my question:

Which of these PDF forms has he/she filled, signed and uploaded in addition to filling online forms:

For main applicant
For over 18 years old dependents
IMM 0008 (PDF)
IMM 5669 (PDF)
IMM 5406 (PDF)

I have filled out these form online carefully for me and my dependents but I didn't attached any PDF version of them. Now IRCC has requested them and has mentioned that : IF you have previusly submitted the information requested in this letter to us already , please do not resubmit the same information!

Many thanks!
You will lose nothing if you fill out the required forms and use the webform to send it to IRCC. This is irrespective of whether you have previously submitted or not. There’s no punishment for submitting the same documents twice after all in this case one will be online while the other will be manual.

Frankly, nobody can tell you how much longer it will take. There’s no specific timeline for anything. Sometimes, it depends on the staff handling your file. Once you pass eligibility, know that you’re nearing completion of your processing. Cheers!

Hi Friends, I need your help. I received an email from CPC Mississauga requesting me and if I have dependent our fingerprints for FBI certificate. My husband who is in the US , started that process last month. I am in Canada and I thought they will not requested for me because I stayed in the US only 5 months. Do I have to the police station and then sent my fingerprints to FBI?

Also, the wanted that for today , I sent a webform saying the reason I dont have that document today. I dont if sending a webform is the correct way to communicate with them...

Hi @Orlando_Best

I reviewed your postings and have some questions about your application. I think your answer works for my application. My application is similar to yours!

1- Did your dependents (your overseas husband and In Canada dependents ) receive G000xxxxxx for their applications? If the answer is "Yes", it means that their application have been under Refugee category(starts with G like ours) . Some friends, have told that: in answer to question #1 of IMM 0008 (while resubmitting the requested forms) we should select "family" for dependents and I am confused! Another thing, family and sponsorship pathway has it own requirements such as financial proof and ... but in our pathway there is no need to financial proof.
2- Did you receive separate application numbers for each dependent or just for Over 18 years old dependents and some were included in your application?
3- Did your husband receive his first email (2021 December 20 ) from CPC-Mississauga and his application remainded there and after you passed eligibility, his application was transferred to Visa office outside Canada? Without any progress?
4- Did you paid twice for your husband Biometric fee? I mean once your were filling application for all persons and another time on 2022 January? or just resubmit the initial payment receipt ?

So many questions!:)

Thank you very much

I will do my best to answer your questions.

1. Yes. My husband who is outside Canada received an application number that starts with G000.... However, he answered question #1 of Generic form IMM 0008 by selecting Family and #2 by selecting Spouse. I believe he couldn’t have selected in-Canada Protected person because he was never one. You don’t have to be afraid of being made to follow the sponsorship pathway because IRCC knows the pathway the protected person is using to bring his/her spouse and do not subject them to any financial proof.

2. I have a different application number from my husband. All my children are below 18 years and did not need to fill out separate forms.

3. Yes. However, the visa office has sent him an email and asked him to complete afresh the Generic form, Additional Family information form & Schedule A Background Declaration form. They also demanded for marriage certificate, birth certificate/registration and data page of his international passport.

4. I didn’t pay for his biometrics when I was completing our forms. He paid for biometrics himself when CPC - Mississauga reached out to him. I only paid his application fees. If you paid for your spouse’s biometrics, I will advise that he should show evidence instead by submitting a receipt that will that everybody was paid for. No need to pay a second time.

Thank you.

Thank you so much for your sharing.
As i checked, using sponsorship pathways needs to use its corresponding application kit. Sponsor should fill out these forms: IMM 1344, IMM 5532, IMM 5481, IMM 1283, IMM 5476 . The person being sponsored must fill out : IMM 1344, IMM 0008, eIMM 5669, IMM 5406, IMM 5532, IMM 5476.
As we can see , There is a big difference between the forms of the two pathway and certainly applicant should follow the related instructions.
Any way, I will ask an immigrant consultant again and will share with this lovely group because I have learned a lot from this group.
