PR Portal For Renewing PR Card

Has anyone used the PR portal to renew their PR card? What was it like? Would you recommend it?

I checked it out briefly and it seems like it walks you through the application step by step.

One problem--the table for giving dates and places for time outside of Canada does not tell you when the list of places is too long. It just says 'cannot be saved... try again later', but it really means that there are too many characters, and it needs to be shortened. I only learned this by trial and error.

Oooh, thank you for sharing that. I hate that type of error, so hard for the user to figure it out. Do you know how many characters (even roughly)?

I had listed 9 places visited, taking 4 lines, and it was too long. I cut it down to two places, adding 'and others', going to two lines, and it worked.

I wonder if 'and others' will generate questions when the application is processed. They likely will want to know where you were.
