PR online Status

I applied for PR card renewal and at the same time I had on going citizenship application which is not yet finalized..

My question is how I can check my PR application status on line ? is it the same way I am checking the citizenship application status? I mean the page of application status will show in the same page all type of applications submitted?

I heard some people unable to check card status online. If the current processing time 10 week is passed, then you can call CIC for the card status.

Does that mean I should not hear or see any update on the status before 10 weeks ? I just sent my application last week ..I guess if there will be any update on the status or acknowledgment of receiving the application only once the CIC web site processing time page show that they are working on application received on May 12, 2015 (Date my application received)

I had sent my PR card renewal application in on March 26, 2015, CIC received it March 30, 2015. They did not start the application process until May 11, 2015. I was unable to get a online application status until May 19, 2015. This is what it said:

1.We received your application for a permanent resident card on March 30, 2015.

2.We started processing your application on May 11, 2015.

3.Your request for a permanent resident card was approved on May 11, 2015. Your Permanent resident card will be mailed to you or if quality assurance is required, made available for you to pick up at a CIC office.
