Hey I rad every airline has diffirent policies about flying. How many weeks is she and where is she flying out of? I think to get a letter from her dr will also help to let her fly but seriously chk with all the airlines as they each have their own policy!

try sidestep.com and see what other days you can come in on. It will be vastly easier for you if you can get her here before she gives birth!

If you do not manage to fly her in, you should ask the advise of the visa office before you land. It is possible that they prefer that the whole family waits with the landing until the new baby can be added to the file.

If you had all landed as PR's and had then gone back to old country and had a new baby, there would be no problem sponsoring your new baby.

If none of you had landed and you had a new baby, you would tell the visa office, they would cancel all your PR visas, add the new baby to the application and re-issue all your PR visas.

If you land first using your PR visa with wife and 1 child declared and then your wife has a new child before she lands, I have really no idea what will happen. Would you add the new baby to the application and your wife and son's PR visas be cancelled and re-issued or would they still be allowed to use their PR visa and you sponsor the new child? I really don't know.

I know this much, if you landed after the baby was born without adding it to your application, you would never be able to sponsor it. This is why I think it's important that you tell the visa office about your situation and ask their advise to avoid making a crucial mistake at this point which may affect the future of your family in Canada.

The problem is that it's possible that your new baby will not be admitted to Canada after the birth, and that will make it difficult or impossible for your wife to land. You should not land until you get this resolved with the overseas visa office. You may be able to delay landing until after the child is born, add him/her to your application, and then all come to Canada to land together. This would be, by far, the fastest way to get this done. There are quite a few complications - including if you fail to notify them of the birth - that could really mess you up.

Contact your visa office IMMEDIATELY - BEFORE you land, and ask their advice. You're not going to get into trouble because you said your wife would have the baby in Canada - if they won't let her fly, then she can't fly. Tell the embassy and find out what your options are before your COPR expires!

Hi I'm in the same situation. I'll be giving birth in Egypt, after all our PRs are issued. We r a family of 3 members. Husband, wife, and a daughter. I found out I'm pregnant after all our immigration visas have been issued. Our medical was done on july2012, which gives me a dead line to do our first landing on june2013. Same problem I'll face of the airlines. So, pls tell me what have u done. Did u succeed to postpone the first landing? Or did u succeed to sponsor ur baby?
