Hello,

We are permanent resident of Canada who are now in Canada since March 2012. My first visit to Canada was in May 2010 with my wife and daughter and I returned in two month later . My country of origin is Iran . I was blessed with a son after our return to Iran. I had applied for Canadian visit visa for my son ,and we are with my son in Montreal, Canada.

Now after returning to Canada, I have filed Sponsorship family class of my son .( It is right?)

My question is that I confused to where I should mail : to Mississauga ( Ontario )or vegreville (Alberta)

Thank you.

Hi,
I'm in the same situation but my child lives outside Canada.
I didn't want to apply for a visitor visa for the child thinking it would be refused and now I'm about to submit the outland sponsorship application.
Do you have any updates on this procedure of sponsoring a child from inland?
Thanks.

Dear All,
I am also in a similar situation, my self, wife and eldest daughter became Canadian PR holders on August 2011, but we returned to our native Country India, due to some unavoidable personal reasons , and we are still in India, in the mean while we were blessed with our second daughter who is 6 months old now,

Now we plan to return to Canada with our new born baby,

So can any one guide us what kind of visa we have to apply and where to apply.

Please advise

Thanks

Hello,

Excuse me for this delay, First you should apply (and write the reasons for return to India as a letter) for visa tourist from embassy of Canada in India for her , After that when you could obtain a visa ,then in airport of Canada, officer will give to your baby one year visa. I hope every things goes well for your family.

I had applied for Canadian Citizenship in 2006 and my child was born outside Canada in 2007. I took Canadian citizenship oath and passport in 2008 . My Certificate of Citizenship photo card has date 07/2006 whereas an accompanying letter has effective date of citizenship as 15/06/2008 date.
I had applied for a new passport recently and they only asked for copy of citizenship certificate photo card.
Which is correct date? Does my citizenship begin from date mentioned in photo card or the accompanying letter.
Would I be considered a Canadian Citizen at time of birth of my child if date on photo card is before the birth of child.
