PR Documents/ Change in Layout...

Hey everyone,

I have applied for PR before after getting an ITA through CEC. However my application was rejected due to a Police Cert not being submitted directly from Singapore.

It was a complete nightmare.

Anyway, now its sorted I have reapplied and was offered a new ITA. I am now on the "requested" documents part and the layout seems very different.


Instead of WES form they are looking for proof of post secondary ed? Is my WES letter OK or are hey looking for transcripts/scrolls or all 3?

Instead of individual police checks from the countries I have lived in, it asks for multiples which I then upload all together and submit as as one file?

Im asked for proof of funds but as i am CEC I am exempt from this right? I just upload a letter stating that I am a CEC applicant?

It asks for Passport copy and ANY pages with stamps, visas or markings? I have travelled a lot...do I just include them all? (Bizarrely the info button starts off...."When you apply for IEC..." I'm obv not applying for IEC so a little concerned to see this)

It may seem all really obvious but I am just double checking everything to be sure I am proceeding the right way! Thanks for any help

In terms of the eductaion thing, I have read about people who got issues with providing just WES certificate or just the non-Canadaian degree certificate. So, my suggestion would be scan all documents related to your education and merge them as a single file and send.
I suppose you will do the same for the Police report, passport pages as well.

Paranoid people would say: WES, Degree/Diploma Certificates and IELTS combined into one nice PDF under 4MB. Some people say add transcripts but I didn't. Check the blue question mark

Yes. Put all of them together as one PDF. Scan in colour in better IMO

I don't have experience with CEC as I'm FSWO so I'd say wait for experts

Scan away. Eventually you'll need to key this information in travel history if you haven't already.

What do you mean not directly? Singapore police suppose to send by themselves ?

Regarding the passport stating "IEC..." I have the same issue but people said it's fine just upload everything in your passport (bio page, stamps, visas, etc) and merge it into one pdf file.

For the proof of funds, did you enter any amount at all? I entered "0" and didn't get asked to provide proof of funds. If you entered any amount that's greater than 0, that's probably why you are being asked to provide proof for that. I could be wrong though. Anyone?

Oh I did enter funds as I thought thats what Id have to prove on landing in Canada...Id go back and change it to lower amount is they were to ask for proof of funds asap though.

Good question though, had not considered it. Anyone?

BTW, originally the police cert had to be sent directly from Singapore, the process has since changed so hopefully no one will ever have my issue again. Singa had processed but never sent my cert thus my application was rejected and they couldn't figure out what had happened. V frustrating.
