Same brother came in 2018 as a 17 year old kid, my brother had to sign a form saying he will take care of me until I become 18 since then been through every immigration step from study visa to study permit extension to work permit then work permit extension then worked hard in skilled trade got paid minimum wage because " you need help with your PR so we cannot pay you like others" applied for PNP waited 11 months for approval then got Permanent Residence took me 5 years and 8 months to be here, while I meet people who came to Canada 2 years ago got PR through some sort of sponsorship and then start trash talking about how their country was so good and how Canada is trash.Don't lose heart! I have gone through the same struggle. Came in 2019 as a student and paid a fortune in fees. Got PGWP but COVID changed everything. Took me 5 years since I landed to have enough points to be even eligible and apply for it. But Alhamdulillah, finally I made it through. You will make it thorugh as well in shaa Allah. Praying for you mate.
The important thing is, at the end of the day we get to keep our heads high that our hard work were genuine!
These people have no idea what it means to get Permanent Residence, how much hard work you gotta do for little to no money, how much money you had to spend to be here and always getting treated like a third class citizen because you are not a PR or Canadian Citizen.
