All the best everyone.
I tell people to own their journey because this Canada will test you but don't give up. Continue to explore options and time is of essence. Imagine you did not submit the BOWP the same day.....My Journey to PR - A Testimony of God’s Faithfulness
I finally received my eCoPR on March 18, 2025!
Here’s my timeline:
To everyone still waiting trust in the Lord, pray, and hold onto His promises. What He has said concerning you will surely come to pass.
- AOR Date: August 27, 2024
- Final Decision (Tracker): December 20, 2024
- Portal 1: December 22, 2024
- Portal 2: December 24, 2024
- eCoPR: March 19, 2025
I won’t lie, this journey was tough. I lost my job on December 9, 2024, because my work permit extension was rejected, and I had to stop working. It was a painful moment, but looking back, I can see how God’s favor carried me through.
I came to Canada for a one-year program and graduated in April 2023. By God’s grace, even before finishing, I had a full-time tech job lined up, which I started on May 19, 2023. That job gave me the crucial one-year Canadian experience I needed.
- My Post-Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) was issued on July 7, 2023, but was only valid until July 8, 2024.
- To buy more time for my CEC Express Entry application, I applied for a work permit extension on July 5, 2024.
- Meanwhile, I received an OINP nomination on May 22, 2024, but its processing time was 15 months—longer than my valid status. So, I had to stick with the Express Entry plan.
My work permit extension was rejected on December 9, 2024, but that initial extension application bought me months of working under implied/maintained status. Unfortunately, once I lost my job, anxiety kicked in,I had so many bills: credit cards, car loans, insurance, rent, food, etc, but I refused to give in to fear or depression. Instead, I kept praying and trusting God for a breakthrough.
January was extremely tough, but God saw me through. If you’ve ever been in this situation, you know how hard it is.
After my extension was rejected, I was advised to apply for a restoration of status as a worker. I immediately submitted it the same day and also applied for a bridging open work permit (BOWP) since I had already received my ITA. Using a web form, I uploaded my restoration application, fees, letter of explanation, and AOR letter.
Fast forward to March 15, 2025, when my work permit was approved! When I called IRCC, the agent told me that because I had submitted my bridging work permit before IRCC’s operating hours ended on December 9, I was still under-maintained status without even realizing it! As a result, my restoration fees were refunded, and my application fee was approved.
Three days later, on March 19, 2025, I received my eCoPR!
God is the Greatest! He works in mysterious ways.
No matter how tough things get, don’t give in to fear or depression. Trust in God, pray, and hold onto His promises. He will make a way for you just as He did for me.
Amen.
Truly,
Don Diipo
Not much you can do. Once it's mailed out, check your mailbox within 2-5 business days. Can we track pr card after it is mailed out?
The information in your tracker changing or remaining the same may not directly be related to the processing of your application because the update could be quite irregular. For example, my tracker was still showing that my eligibility was still under review even after I received my PR card. Instead of checking your tracker, your profile will give you a greater picture because each time your file is attended to you get an update (mostly ghost update) unless a decision or a step is completed on your application. However, it does not hurt to check your tracker too. they both give information but don't allow yourself to worry too much. You have done biometrics and submitted medicals so at this stage you are sure that your application will not be rejected except something very serious comes up. Relax and look forward to your next step probably a P1 or ADR.Hello Guys, I have a confusion & I hope you guys can answer. I have just submitted my biometrics and med on March 12th.
In GC key my Med shows passed on 18th & biometric does not show any date , just changed to we do not need your fingerprints. However, i can see enrolment date, Expiry and biometric number.
On the tracker, my biometric shows complete, medical in progress & Eligibility as complete in green.
Could it be a technical glitch as my AOR is just Jan 28th , and I see that eligibility is usually the last step .
Background also in progress on the tracker.

Is your pr card mailed? If yes, whenPR card is delayed, I received ecopr on Feb 28 and still no update. Anyone in the same situation?
Used to take 3 days tops… when it’s our turn, it flips to 30 days to just get photo and address accepted, it’s ridiculous…The process from p2 to pr card feels like another journey nowadays....
Ho
Same boat, I got ecopr March 6 and no update, I link GC key with my account yesterday but nothing in thểHow are March COPR people doing with PR card issuance? Did you get any confirmation? I’m reaching 14 days from my COPR and still no updates on PR card.

It's really tiring, I thought ecopr was the last wait and now it's PR card. IRCC really doesn't work according to any process.Used to take 3 days tops… when it’s our turn, it flips to 30 days to just get photo and address accepted, it’s ridiculous…
