Hi all, I landed on 27th of Jan and as per the website it takes 49 days to process the cards, today is the 50 day, I called CIC and the agent told me they haven't finished processing the cards and it should happen in the coming 3 weeks!

Any advice here please.

No advice. Just wait as advised by CIC.

After checking the CIC new photo specifications have been released. This is quite different to the ones we had submitted prior to getting the COPR and request for passport.

Does this mean that there is a chance that our photos can get rejected ? Should we be taking new photos as per the new specs during our first landing in Canada ?

Sure,

Outside Canada 1.613.944.4000
Inside Canada 1.888.242.2100

And speak to an agent.

Is there a limitation on updating address via the case specific enquiry system after landing as I have moved residence twice and need to update the latest

I also landed in nov 2015 with my wife, daughter and son. My wife and daughter received PR card but I was told to submit photo again with new spec in 1 month ago. I submitted the photo and still waiting for my card. Besides, there is no news or update regarding my son PR card......
:o :o

we (me,my husband and my son) landed on october 30,2015 and I got my pr card in mid feb and got the new photo request for my husband and son(can not understand the logic behind this-when 3 of us had the photos with same specifiations !!!)
So we sent the new photos in march 1st week, I called cic agent two weeks ago,he said you have to wait according to current time period i.e 54 days.
Today I called again and to my surprise, agent told me that there is no update on their forms(not even about receiving new photos) and asked me to wait till END JUNE :o
Anyone can help me here..what can I do now?

cic sent the envelops inside the package and they already have address on them.
I sent my ordinary mail.

Hi guys,

The address for receiving PR card, does it have to be a residential address or can it be a mail box (P.O box)?
Has anyone used P.O. Box

Thanks

It has to be a street address, not a P.O.Box address.

You can rent a mailbox from UPS, however, the address you use is a street address not a P.O. Box.

Ordinary mail is snail mail in Canada. It can take 2-4 weeks for your photos to reach CIC. Add approx one month from that day for an approximate idea. You sent photos 1st week of March. So it should be reached CIC 3rd week of March. They should have most likely sent the PR cards (again through snail mail) by 3 week of April. I guess you should get it any day now. You can however call CIC and confirm.

Great! thanks.
Follow up question: Is it all rented mailboxes that will give you a street address?

I wanted to rent a short-let apartment and they have advised me they dont receive mail at the unit. So i should rent a mailbox closeby if i need one.

Thanks
