Great! thanks.
Follow up question: Is it all rented mailboxes that will give you a street address?

I wanted to rent a short-let apartment and they have advised me they dont receive mail at the unit. So i should rent a mailbox closeby if i need one.

Thanks
No, not all of them. I know UPS stores do - I have one. The service is offered in terms of 3, 6 and 12 months, each term with its own rate. The rates vary by store.

If you already rented a place for temporary accommodation, I advise you use the store locator tool on www.ups.ca to find the nearest store to your place. You can actually contact the store before you land, and inquire if they can set up your box remotely - some do. If they can, you'll have an address to give the IO when you land.

There are a few other providers (depending on the province of destination), but I am not familiar with them - I would hate to misinform you. Perhaps some of the members that are more familiar with them will respond.

I need advice as regards my PR application.
After gotten my conventional refugee status last yr Aug (2016), I applied immediately for my PR on Sept. 21, 2016 and it was received by CIC on Oct. 21, 2016. It was also confirmed that they have received my medicals. I tried checking my application status yesterday and the last thing on it was that they sent me a correspondence on April 26, 2016 which I did not receive. I called my lawyer to confirm if he received any email (since I applied through him) from CIC he said no and he advised me to call CIC. I did call CIC and the guy that attended to me said they will resend the correspondence. Pls I need advice on what to do. What is correspondence and what is it implications?

Moreover, I just changed my address which I also notify the CIC agent about.

Lastly, I am a bisexual and I found true love in Canada and I'm planning to get married next month. Is there any way this would affect my PR processing? The lady I'm getting married to is a Canadian citizen.

Kindly advice.

Thanks

Yes. If you get married before you land as a PR, you will need to add your spouse to the application. If you fail to do this, you would never be able to sponsor her!

The person they are getting married to is already a Canadian citizen. So sponsoring her isn't an issue. That said, the change in marital status still has to be declared and listed in the application before landing as a PR I believe.
