PR cards: Does it really take six weeks to mail it?

Hello everyone,
I'm panicking a bit here. I was notified:
The PR card has been mailed (Canada post regular mail, no tracking available) on August 15, 2018 to the following address.
BUT
If the document has not been received at the above-mentioned address by September 26, 2018, we invite you to contact us again.

Does it really take 6 weeks to mail a card from Nova Scotia to Ontario? I am traveling on September 1st. Should I just apply for a Travel Document? Or post office just gives extra time and the card actually will arrive next week? Does anyone have experience on that?

It should take 1-2 weeks for mailing. Are you currently inside or outside of Canada? You can only apply for a Travel Document from outside of Canada.

I didn't write this correctly. I'm outside. If it arrives by August 31, my friends will bring it to me. But if later I need to apply for a travel document now...dilemma...dilemma
So I'm wondering if six weeks is the longest so what's the average?:rolleyes:
 
Hi everyone my landing interview was on July 20,2018. It’s gonna be one month day after tomorrow. I’m in Ontario. I’m waiting for PR card is there any way to check the status of PR or tracking something. How long it will take to get PR card after landing interview??

I heard that you can link your application again to your account online. I somehow couldn't do it.
I wrote to my federal MP constituency office and asked what's the deal with my card. They had to re-order it again for me. You can contact your local MP even if you are not a citizen and they will help you with bureaucratic things.
It took me 58 days to receive a card. Including mailing. It is a normal pace. Your card will possibly arrive by the end of September if processing times didn't change.

I already booked ticket I’m going to back home in October I hope I can get PR card before that. Do you guys know any other way to track PR card I don’t know how to link your application to online account. When I open my account then I select PR card after that I select UCI number than all the info like last name or DOB but it shows that you completed your Landing interview in Kitchener and you became permanent resident on July 20, 2018. That’s it..... nothing related to PR card

How did they notify you? Is it your first card?how long it takes to arrive since the day you landed? I am waiting for my first card , I did land in Montreal in the second of July and still waiting
 
How long does it generally take for PR card to arrive after it says it has been mailed? It does say it can take up to 6 weeks but I need it urgently as I would be leaving Canada soon.

I landed in Canada on 13th May with my family and after two weeks I got PR cards of all my family member except one of my child, which is missing, please help and guide me to whom I should cotact to enquire about the missing card
 
hi everyone, got my COPR on August 12 and its been 3 weeks since them i havent received my pr card yet..some of my friend get their card in just one week. how long should i need to wait?

Did you complete landing formality at border post or landing interview?
