I landed for 5 days in Canada as a permanent resident with my son on 30 november 2016. I had to come back you my country after that . I received my PR card and mine is valid until 14 february 2020 and one of my son"s until 20 may 2020.
I saw that you have to stay 730 days in Canada out of 5 years. But should I guide myself after the landing date or the expiry date from my pr card? Because I would really like to postpone for a few months my departure because of my mothers health.
So it would be great to have to stay 730 days until the card expires, not from the day I landed.
Does anyone know if I will lose my PR if i will take in consideration the expiry date and not the landing date?

The residency obligation starts from the date of landing. The PR card expiry date is irrelevant. If you landed November 30 2016, then you will want to make sure you return to Canada before November 30 this year to avoid being in violation of the residency requirement.

1. You won't get any message, just the card in the mail, unless there is a problem with the pictures.

The 24 days mentioned is the calendar days or the working days? I’m at 28 calendar days now.

Link it in your My CIC account and it will tell you when they mail it, we landed on the 24th November and this morning it showed in My CIC that they mailed the card today.

Where to get the PR card application number? Do they give the application number at the airport at the time of landing to link it with CIC profile?

You don't need the application number, use your UCI number and choose PR card from the drop down list in the link new application section.

Hi guys ...
I did my landing on November 21st 2019 .. but did not get my PR card yet .. I called Cic and they said they dispatched card on December 5th but so far did not get my card .. does somebody knows why it’s taking too long ??
