hi everyone

i've been in canada may 3 this year.. And Im staying here for 3 months and 3 days with my husband in whitehorse..i don't know if i got wrong of what i've heard from the officer that i will get my pr card after 3 months..i know its too early and i may sound impatient, but its more than 3 days now and Im expecting to have it this week or even just next week.i did not expect canada will be late to deliver pr card as its advance country.
my questions are, does anyone had a problem of pr card that was not delivered yet?or does anyone got their pr after 3 months staying in canada?is there anything i need to do about it?

thank you very much in advance! Im hoping anyone can answer my questions that can spend time reading this and be helpful regarding about pr card.i will be willing to hear and be grateful from anyones experience.... again thank you! :-*

Seriously, have some bloody patience. The processing time is 87 days, which is, of course, not an exact time for every single card. You then need to add around a week for the mailing time.

Someone on the PR card thread said it took 100 days to get theirs. I would not hold your breath. Why do you need it so badly, you want to escape Whitehorse already? ;)

As far as I can tell it only matters for travel. Otherwise it's pretty much a non-issue in not having it. I'd suggest coming back to complain again in a month or two :p

this is very funny..hahahaha and why do you think i wanted to escape whitehorse by the way my question stated???that's absolutely insane. Leaving my very love husband here alone???100% i would not do that to him.i cannot leave just for the sake of pr.. By the way,to let you know, first the officer said 3 months, second is that,i've been traveling everywhere in whitehorse and in vancouver with my husband and its very hassle for me to bring the long envelope than a small card. That is funny funny to say,but thank you. ;)

know everything first

I'm pretty sure it was just a joke.

that would be good if it was a joke, escape is a broad word to say. :D Having things just on a card is very easy to keep inside the wallet and hassle free, especially when you keep traveling around canada. And we are having many rainy days here in whitehorse since the start of summer than sunny day and when we traveled vancouver. Paper is very easy to get wet and crampled .

If you're travelling around Canada there's no need for you to bring the CoPR. The PR card really only matters for travelling outside of Canada when you're coming back...

It was clearly a joke and as said above, there is zero need to take your COPR with you when travelling in Canada.

Once you have your PR card, put your COPR in some kind of sheet protector and then store it in a safe place and leave it there until you need it again (usually applying for citizenship will be the next time you need it)

Your original copy of COPR (the copy that the landing officer gives you after your landing is done)

There are language barriers here on this forum. ;) Not everything, especially humour translates that well online let alone with a language barrier added to the mix.
