Upon landing you will be asked for an address where the PR card can be mailed. If you do not have an address while you land you can apply once you have the address.

You don't have to apply for your first PR card, the landing initiates the processing of your PR card.

Yes, this is what the Immigration Officer said to me at the booth, that it would take about 2 months for the PR card to reach me.
