Yes. I also came to know after linking PR application first and then linked PR card.
Follow the below steps only after you have landed. It gives only 5 attempts in one day.
- log in to the GC Key account.
- Go to the section “Link an existing application to this account”. Click on the “Link application to this account” button.
- Select the category as PR Card
- Select “Unique Client Identifier (UCI) and Family Name”
- Fill in required details (please make sure capital, small, comma etc.)
- Provide landing date in “Date you became a permanent resident”
- Click on search for my application.
- After the application is searched make sure you submit the application else not linked.
As far as I know, GU1 means that they are processing final decision of your PR card application, and GU2 shows the date when they mail your PR card and it’s on the way. I hope this helps!
Did anyone else get any tracker update even after receiving the eCoPR? My tracker updated on January 07th stating Closed with the green highlight. Today its showing that it was last updated with no changes yesterday - January 14, 2025. I wonder if it's a generic system update or do they send you a GU before sending out the cards? Anyone has any insight? Much appreciated!
Hi. After getting eCOPR on Jan 13th, yesterday I got GU on tracker with closed status. It says approved on gckey with date as October 4 when I got FD. However on top where it says (a decision has been made. Please check below to review. There the date is January 13) I linked my application, so now what are the next steps? I suppose theyll be sending a GU or smth to inform us that PR card has been mailed
I got my eCoPR on Jan 06 and PR tracker closed on Jan 07. And today I got another update in tracker dated Jan 14.
I think they approved your photo and finalized it on Jan 13. Next when they mail your card, you should be getting the final GU. Does it say anything in your document status in GCkey?
