Hi!
I'm trying to renew my permanent residence card and step 4 which is the additional documents of proof of residence in Canada is a bit unclear.

Do I have to literally photocopy all pages of my passport even those without stamps or just the pages with stamps only?

Thank you!!

Hi, the CIC instruction guide is actually pretty clear and straight-forward:

"Photocopies of all pages of all passports you held in the past five (5) years. . . " — it says right there. All pages of all passports held in the last 5 years. Plus certified translations of any stamps not in English or French (which is in the continuation of the above sentence). Source: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5445ETOC.asp

While it's not mandatory to be colour photocopies (they may require it if it goes under added scrutiny), it is better. I sent black and white photocopies for the renewal of my PR Card this past May and it was all good (and I already received the card), but comparing them to the ones for citizenship (I chose colour photocopies for citizenship), the quality is superior and everything can be read even more clearly.

Best of luck!

I photocopied every single page of all my US passports, (one with maiden name and new one with married name) that I held in the past 5 years, in black and white. Stamped and blank pages. My PR card application has been processed, been approved, and will be mailed out according to the online website.

The reason I asked is that its honestly a waste of paper in my case because I didn't leave Canada since.

Anyway, thanks guys!

I ended up sending my application without the photocopy of the blankpages... when I realized that when I had my mom's card renewed, I didn't include the blank pages as well and she got her card without any problem.
