PR Card Renewal Online 2024

Hi guys,

Application Date 5th Nov 2024
Status showing as submitted on the application screen.
I called IRCC yesterday(13th Nov 2024) asking for help in linking the account to IRCC GCKey account. They said that it can only be linked once reviewed and once I get an email response from them.
Today I checked the status and it's still submitted but under Inspect Tools, I get the following.

"status": {
"id": 20,
"statusEn": "Completed",
"statusFr": "Complété"
},
"rejectionReasons": [
{
"id": 47,
"rejectionReasonEn": "Other",
"rejectionReasonFr": "Autre",
"documentTypeId": null,
"createdAt": "2024-11-14 01:16:56.874666",
"updatedAt": "2024-11-14 01:16:56.874666",

"phaseId": 3,
"rejectionDetails": "Your photos do not meet the specifications (poor image quality, smiling/teeth showing, shadows, light glare, head not straight to camera) – please review Guide IMM5445."
}
],

Now I know that the photo was an issue.
So after getting the photo how do I upload it?
Does it make sense in sending another application? Or should I just wait?
Did anybody face something similar?

Appreciate any input.

Thank You!

You do not know that. You know that an unsupported hack gives information that you interpret as meaning that. IRCC does not tell you to check that, nor what it means.

And yes, this specific line has been reported here multiple times where there does not appear to be any such issue.

It's a database flag. It may NOT be set properly, it may mean nothing, or it may mean only that no-one has clicked that button.

This inspect tools thing is a literal waste of time.

Hi Armoured,
Thanks for your informative and quick response. So may be I should just wait and watch.
I didn’t know that this had been reported and that it is unreliable.

I anyway decided to call them again today and they told me that application was put in the system yesterday, gave me the application number and that now I should be able to link it. I was also told about my place of birth and name being in capitals. After the call ended, I tried to link it but failed.
Have filled out the case enquiry form to get help.

Everyone wants a shortcut and will believe just about anything instead of checking to see whether it makes sense.

It's a browser _hack_.

"Should be able to link it." Lots of things at IRCC that 'should be' immediate take a few days.

If you want to waste even more of your time, sure, call and ask.

It’s not about believing, it’s about trying. No way to find out / check without trying. And of course everyone who values time will want a shortcut. One should try and figure out all possible ways to push the application and to make sure that it’s not unnecessarily stuck due to human errors and negligence.

And it’s not a _hack_ or something. It’s the json response that their api returns. Of course now we know that there’s a bug in the system which sets that photo flag to false by default.

Although I do agree with this

Calling them is not a waste of time. One should know when to call and how speak. :)
If there is an issue and if one has missed their email or whatever, this is the best way to find out!

But if you just submitted it less than a month ago, why are you so worry?
If you read more posts on the forum, many received their new cards in the mail without ANY update on their online tracker.
