no i have not recieevd any letter . but i called them and they told me its gone for review . I sent copies of all the passport pages with entry exit stamps . Only if i knew before , i would have collected the movement certificates while travelling .
my application started processing on June 20 , 2017.

I am in a similar situation. My application was received by CIC on 18th April. They started processing it on June 15th. Since then there is no update. I haven't received any email from them. Is it normal? What should I be doing?

PRTD was issued today. Also, got an email from my MP's office saying that my PR card was issued today and will be sent in the mail.

A lawyer's advice, if you want to force them to take a decision on your PR renewal, travel overseas and apply for a PRTD. When the Consulate takes a decision on your PRTD, IRCC has to take the same decision and finalize your PR renewal application.

It took me 2.5 weeks to get the PRTD going through the VAC office in NYC. It was a disastar.

Can you please explain more. My husband had to travel urgently and we are still waiting for our PR renewal. He took his landing papers with him that in case PR doesnt come he will travel to US (we have a valid US visa) and one of his friends will pick him up at the border. Based on your post I am thinking of applying for PRTD for him. I did not understand your comment on if consulate takes a decision ....which consulate?

My spouse and I became PR in 2015 and had blank last name on immigration papers. To get everything corrected, we went through legal name change process and applied for our PR card replacements.

We both sent our application in a single envelope in June and our applications were received on 14-June.
Online status shows that they started processing on 02-Aug.

Strange thing is, I have already received my card but my spouse's online status hasn't changed since then. They still haven't issued her card.
We both have same travel history. I can't understand what they are doing with her application.
Also, it still hasn't been two years since we landed in Canada so there shouldn't be any question to residency obligations.

Can anyone suggest what to do now?

Thanks.

When you apply for a PRTD, the application goes to the Canadian Consulate in the country you are applying from. I would recommend that your husband proceed with the the US trip plan and cross the borders with his landing form. Waiting on the IRCC to follow the PRTD may take time but at the end it can't be different than the consulate decision on the PRDT.
