I have been calling CIC today and I was told that they require new photos. I haven't yet received the paper mail request from them but the agent sent me the email that refers to the photo spec and IMM 5455 form.

The question to those who received the request in mail:
Were you required to send anything else apart from the photos and 5455 from?

Also 5455 form contains Client ID field with the note "For official use only". There is no other field for client or file ID in the form.
Anybody filled in that field? Otherwise how CIC would identify that the photos correspond to my application.

Thanks.

Hello 2L8,

I am of the same situation.. called CIC today .....they said paper mail has been sent yesterday and he sent the email that refers to the photo spec and IMM 5455 form.

Should i take the photos and send it along with the copy of this mail and filled IMM 5455 form and copy of COPR ??

How you dealt with your case ? Have you received the paper mail request from CIC? Please suggest

Hello ,

I am being asked to submit my photographs again. I have two different sets of new photograph taken on 2 different dates in last two months ready with me. I have tried to meet the specifications in both the sets but not sure which on to send, although they look identical with minor difference only.

Should I send both sets along with an explanation letter about why I am submitting two different sets??

My PR card photos were rejected as well and the new photos were sent and signed for by m.krszwda. Anyone ever seen that name before?

Yes, this same person (M.KRSZWDA) signed for my courier as well on 3rd of March. No updates after that. Any updates on your side?

Nothing for me as mine was signed for today. Guess I have some waiting to do. Hopefully I don't get a 2nd reject letter.

So I got the same letter n I am currently in India. This is what I did

- I went to a local photographer with the specification, got it clicked, verified the spec myself using a ruler.
- Got the stamp of the photographer at the back
- Wrote my name and DOB
- Sent the photos to my uncle in Canada who received the letter. He posted the photos with the letter to the PO box
- After 2 weeks I called the Call center and they informed that my PR card is on it way
- Once the PR card is delivered to my uncle, he will courier it to me n I will be on my way in June

Just follow these steps and it should be ok

My PR card photos were also rejected as well and got photo request email on 8 Mar and sent the new photo same day through express post .
while checking the status on canada post, it says delivered on 13 Mar and signed by C LOCKE. Anyone ever seen that name before?

My second query is- I have called CIC just now for checking whether information has been updated against my file regarding whether photos has been received they said nothing has been updated. The last update is - new photos required... I am really worried as Canadapost website says delivered and CIC said not updated against the file. Whether it is possible they might have received photos physically but not updated against my file. Anybody faced this scenario. Please suggest

Pls suggest on my above queries ....

Hi Friends,

Not sure how seriously you should consider the advice from IO at Toronto airport but when I landed there, I was explicitly told that if you are not planning to stay in Canada at least for 3 months, don't get your PR Cards couriered. I was told that, PR Cards are property of Govt. of Canada and will be confiscated at boarder checks if sent through any courier other then the diplomatic parcels (which are exempted from checks).

Just thought of sharing this as a word of caution.

All the best!!

Mine got rejected too, got the letter/email on 27th Sep.

What is funny is that I had a good guess that this would happen and when I asked the IO at Toronto Pearson she said don't worry this photo (which was attached to my COPR) looks good, it won't be rejected. Now it's 7 weeks later and it's rejected!!

Anyway, I'll have my friend send them my reserve photos which I took before I flew to Toronto to do my landing. (As I said I had a feeling they will be rejected so I took four new photos and left them with my friend before I left Canada end of August).

As such my advice is if you plan to leave Canada before receiving your PR Card then before you leave make sure you take another set of photos to CIC specifications and leave them with your family/friend before you depart Canada, but make sure you take a ruler and measure the head to chin height in the photography studio before you pay

Mine was signed for by M KRSWDA too, he/she might just be reception!

Assuming your photos are rejected, will CIC accept photos coming in by mail from abroad ?
Hi,

I am on the same boat and my photos were also rejected. Can I mail them from outside Canada without any issues at the CIC? Were you able to successfully do this?

Thanks
