PR Card (New/Renewal) Processing Timeline 2021

Hey guys, does anyone knows what the expiry date is for the renewed PR card. For example, if my old PR card will expire in Jan 2022, and I will apply to renew the PR card in Dec 2022. Will the expiry date of the renewed card 5 years from Jan 2022 or 5 years from Dec 2022? Thanks in advance!

From the date of issuance. That would be whenever they approved your application and sent it for printing.

Yup. Your PR card's expiry date is for your own reference. Has nothing to do with how they evaluate your RO period, or how the new card's expiry date looks like. If you apply in Dec 2022 and let's say by then the AOR takes 2 months to come, and your application is approved in Feb 2023, then the 5-year validity will be from Feb 2023 till 5 years later.

The mystery continues..

My wife has received her AOR on October 14th, my AOR was on October 9th.

Her application on ECAS is found and showing decision made, the last line shown there is that they started processing it on October 14th.

Back to my ECAS, almost 3 weeks after I got my AOR, No application found on ECAS! No matter how many times I try, double or triple check the info I enter, just nothing.

I have signed up for a GC key, entered my info and then it shows "no applications to link".

It is frustrating - I think all I can do now is to wait till 138 days pass from the day they received my application, should be around November 10th, and submit a webform then see..

Just a small query, my and my family application received on July 26, all got the AoR on October 28, 2021, all my family members status changed to DM except mine, which still says in process, secondly for change in all the other application, their is showing only home address, where is in my application it shows current home and Mailing address. The home address is correct whereas mailing address is five year old of my home town.

is there anything to worry secondly how I can attach somegckey or whatever account to link so I get the in process application status in detail.

Any one please guide.

YES I CALLED I SEND TWO TIME WEBFORM REQUEST AND THEY SAID IF URGENT YOU CAN LEAVE AND YOU CAN APPLY PRTD WHEN YOU WANT TO COME THEY REPPLYING JUST THEY ARE BUSY TO AFGANISTAN BLA BLA NOT SERIOUS RESPONS JUST WAIT AND IM COUNTINU 5 YEAR IN CANADA DIDT TRAVEL.

Hi guys, just a couple of questions for my first card.
Just to be sure of the process.
Received the credentials for the pr portal, uploaded address and photo. Next day I received the eCOPR.
Now i don't have to do anything right? Just wait to receive the pr in the mail. It's just a choice to link your application there right? Because it's my understanding that you can see something only after aor but they send you the card a few days after that, so what's the point?

Yep, a two or three travel more than my family. Applied on update my address link and than updated both the addresses as if I was updating mailing address, it was asking me to fill the hone address too, so paste the same address again.

lastly what’s the gc account and is it for even my case, or what the online status is showing is good enough.

I don't know about others, but my last card took months to be approved . According to my account records my application to renew a card expiring in Nov 2016 was sent July 2016, approved Feb 2017, but the expiration date was "backdated" to Nov 2021. I am a "weird" case as I travel out of Canada for extended periods of time with my Can Citizen spouse and kids, but despite the extra processing time, they did not extend my expiration date fwiw. Your mileage may vary as this might just have been my case.

Hello Everyone,
I need some information on the people who applied for their initial PR Card in between January-April 2021 at IRCC Ottawa office!
Did anyone of you receive your Card and any sort of update so far!?
Recently I sent an email to the IRCC Ottawa office and they told me that they are processing December 2020 applicants while one of my friend received the call from IRCC Ottawa office and they told her they are currently processing January 2021 applicants!
I applied for card on April 16th 2021 and so far they didn't do anything. No photo processing or nothing.
Anybody in the same situation here?
I appreciate if you can provide your response on this message.
