Hi all, hope someone can help.

I received PR renewal application back as incomplete for below 2 reasons. It's not clear what is the actual issue but was wondering if anyone experienced this and how you corrected it.

1. Your photos are missing, do not meet the specifications or the duplicate photo was not included. Your photos were received damaged. Please refer to the attached photo specification sheet or consult "Appendix B" or your guide for instructions.
(side note - the case worker taped my photos to the photo specification page and highlighted "taken with uniform lighting and not show shadows, glare or flash reflections". This is odd since everything looks ok on the photo including size). Does anyone have a place where they took their photo and was accepted by case worker (I'm in Etobicoke, so Missi and North Toronto works for me).

2. Applications dated more than 90 days before being received by IRCC will require that you update your absences, re-sign and re-date the application, otherwise the application will be returned as incomplete.
(side note - this one totally stumped me. My photograph was dated 12.28.20 (MM.DD.YY), application 01.01.21, application received 01.06.21).

FYI my time line if it helps others:
1. Application sent - 01.03.21
2. Application received - 01.06.21
3. Application noted incomplete ((letter I received was dated) - 02.19.21
4. Application received by - 03.04.21
What is your current PR Card expiration date?

We also had an application returned because of photo specification, it was delivered at the same date as yours. IRCC pointed out a small glare on the nose in the pic. We got our pics at print2Go Mississauga, they guarantee photos will be accepted else they redo it without additional charge. We have used them a few times, this is the first time the photo was rejected, and they took the pics for us for free this time since it was rejected.

On your second point, all IRCC is saying it to not sent back the previous application but fill it again with new dates and sign it again. They haven't rejected the current application due to that reason.

Hello all, new on this side of the forum as I just received my COPR letter in GCKey on March 2nd, 2021.

It says on the letter to just send a copy of the letter/photos to the mentioned local office address on the letter. Are those the only two things I need to mail in? If so, how do I even know if they have received it and are processing it? Any fees or anything else for the first card or other paperwork to fill in?

Secondly, I see that PR card processing times are roughly 100 days at the moment, is that accurate?

Some members of my family received same response with the same timeline as yours. I suspect it was because we did not fill applicants name on the back of the picture. We are waiting for response on other applications before resending the applications.

Thank you so much this is really helpful! Interesting to see others have also had the same issue with the same timeline. Maybe the caseworker was having a bad day!

Could you share who you contacted to get more info on this?
I sent a message through their portal (can remember where I found this) but it’s not useful since they gave me a general answer that they couldn’t find my application (obviously since it was returned) and requested me to review guidance online.

It’s so off that a few of us got the same response following same timeline- like what’s the odds of that! I just think it’s hit and miss.
Going to retake pic and hope they accept 2nd time.

So I finally know why it took so long for my pr card. They unfortunately rejected my photos with no specific details. I went to a different studio and had them re taken on February 6th. I did call the cic before i mailed them and they said just resend them with the attached letter they sent me. Sigh * good luck everyone!!!

@keshav R thank you for your update! Do you remember if you included copy of your current pr card into your application? Document checklist doesn't include it but instructions mention it. I've just sent my application package last week and didn't include it since it is not mentioned in document checklist now afraid they will reject it because of that :( Don't know what to do. What about others, did you add copy of your pr card to application?
