HI. My PR card expired on 16 January 2020. At that moment I and my family had lived in Canada only for 3 months, 2 from November 2019. We have a drive license, SIN, Health card. I can not renew my PR card and have to stay for 730 days in Canada before applying. The principal of the school wants a valid PR card for registration of my daughter. What can I do? Is there any other document that can prove my status?
Your healthcare cards also need to be renewed because it doesn't seem like you havr ever me he resifency obligations to receive healthcare in Canada.

Hello! I badly need your help.
I have a situation. I landed as PR last October 2019, and stayed their for 3 months. I came back in my home country January of 2020. (Then pandemic happened) I was not able to come back in CA. August 2021 I was able to come back again in Canada. And then went back home January 2022.

My PR will expire on November 2024. And I'm planning to go back Feb 2024. I'm short by 190 days out of 730 days for RO. Already included the days from Feb-Nov 2024. Question:
  1. Will I still be allowed to enter canada? I'm worried that I will encounter any issues in the airport. Second,
  2. Can I still renew my PR
I would really appreciate your advise! Thank you in advance!

1. You will be allowed to enter but you may be (or may not) reported for not able to meet your RO.
2. You can only renew your PR CARD after you stay long enough to meet your RO.

Hello again, I just want to ask if its okay to renew my PR card after I meet the RO of 730 days. I'm on 540 days now counting the past 5 years since I landed.

PR card will expire this November 2024. Should I renew after 200 days? Thanks!

Don't renew until you have at least 730 days. More is better.

Maybe my question is that, if they will still count the days when I first landed last 2019? I just got back again this year. And when I counted its 530 days until november. Should I just complete 200 more days? Or Wait for another 2 years before I renew?

You need to do the math. You will likely need to stay more than 200 days since only days within the last five years are considered and you will start losing your early residency days from this calculation.

Okay si It would be best I will renew it on 2026 just to make sure?
You should apply once you have the required number of days and also a buffer of at least a few weeks of additional days. You'll need to figure out when this is.

it's a rolling 5 years to count the RO days. If you landed more than 5 years ago, then those days don't count.
You have to do the math. It's looking back 5 years and start counting days inside Canada ON the day you apply for the PR card renewal.
It's better to have a buffer at least for couple of weeks or a month.

My timeline

Landed October 26,2019 and went back to the Philippines January 26,2020

Went back again to Canada August 8,2021 - Jan 20,2022

and now, I came back March 6,2024 up to present.

should I wait 2 years again?

No one here is going to do the math for you to tell you exactly when you can apply. If you are looking for this kind of advice, recommend you hire an immigration consultant to help you.
