Hello,

My wife's PR card was delivered last friday to the Canadian address I had provided at the time of landing. However, my son's and my own card have not been delivered yet. I read in some forums posts that people who ran into similar issues later found that their photo didn't meet the requirements. My question is:

Is it normal to have PR cards delivered separately? OR do most of the families receive all the PR card mails together?

I also tried to call the toll free CIC call center number that is supposed to work from US. However as soon as selected 1 and then 2 for CIC, I got an automated message that since I was calling from US my call was unauthorized. Is there any other way I can contact CIC to get latest update on my PR card?

BTW, it's already been more than 65 days since I have landed. Per CIC's website, it takes 60 days from the date of landing to process the PR card.

Thank you in advance!

Regards,
Sandeep

They are mailed separately. Just relax and wait a few more days.

Just an update. Indeed, it turned out that there was an issue with photographs we provided. I have since sent new pics taken by professional photographer. Hopefully, I won't have issues this time.

I never understand How come the photographs of one or couple of Family members doesn't match the specifications while others match, since I assume in 99% cases the photos of family members are taken by same photographer with same specifications at same time and location

You are right! But in my case photos were taken at my home. We took each other's photo. I have professional DSLR camera with good external flash and all that good stuff. I also have good photo printer.

Overall, I was satisfied with my pics because all my previous pics were accepted without any issues. The reason I took photos at home was because I couldn't find ANY photographer who would agree to take passport size photos per Canadian PR photo specification. This time also I had hard time finding anyone but one kind photographer referred me to another photo studio who did these kind of photographs. Even they had to adjust the size in photoshop. But who cares? Photos came out good, better than the ones I had. I am hoping not to run into same issue again. If anyone lives in Detroit Metro area or any where in Michigan for that matter, here is where I got my pics done:

Just to add to my previous post. I paid $23 (USD) for 2 photos. If you need more than 2, they charge $5 for each additional photo.

It is indeed expsensive. But I had no other option either. Moreover, it wasn't a straight forward thing. They took photo and modified in photoshop which took around 10-15 minutes to finalize. But anyways, I wasn't too much worried about the cost. You get excellent service in return of what you pay for. All in all, I am very happy :)
