PR Card Arrival Timeline Thread Deleted?

think this is new PR card arrival timeline.

Landed on Aug. 19th at local CIC office. (outland)

PR card arrived Sept. 7th.

Officier at the cic office told me it takes 84 days and I will get it on Nov.
so it is earlier than I expected.


They asked me to bring a photo for PR card, but somehow they used old photo I sent with my PR app.

Now I know I need to wait two- three months

My question is, are they going to update my file with permament resident card status?

I landed at Lewiston on June 29th and I still don't have my PR card. ECAS does show that I landed and became a PR.

I'm not in a huge rush because as others have said you don't really need it for most important stuff (in Ontario I didn't need it for my driver license - I have an SIN and my OHIP card) but I still can't help compulsively checking the mail! Hopefully it will show up before Halloween...

I got a letter today (after 3.5 months waiting) stating that my photo was rejected and I have to send new ones to Nova Scotia for processing. Awesome. I think it is because they were expired - they were taken over a year ago at this point. Could also be that the length of my face is too big. Who knows - it's not like they give you much info.

What a huge pain in the butt. I wonder if I get the new ones sent out on Monday if I have to wait another 3 months.

CIC used my old photo for PR card that I sent with my sponsorship app which is almost 3 year old.
I brought new photo for PR card and handed into officer at my interview.
somehow they did not use it.
husband said maybe they used prettier pic ;D

On the CIC website, it says that the timeline to receive your PR card is 41 days... How can it be 2-3 months then ? O_O
