I'm looking for some experienced members to help me out here:
I'm currently waiting for my PR spousal sponsorship application to be processed outland via London. I'm still a long way off the last stage, but I have a question about the PR card. I realise that, after I land, it takes approx 45 business days (i.e. 3 months) to receive my physical PR card. My question is this: do you need the actual card in order to travel?
The reason I ask is that one of my friends is getting married next August, back in the UK. Whilst I'm reasonably confident that I'll have been approved for P.R and will land by then, this 3 month wait for the card is spooking me. I can't leave my friend hanging on about whether we'll be there or not, as the wedding approaches.
Anyone had experience of travelling with/without the physical card? Thanks for your help.
