Thank you Marsgpra! I understand you've had a tough ride even in the last leg - maybe you could try switching your signature to PPR received date as opposed to BGIP - you never know the magnetism of a positive outlook! Hope it changes things for you.

Quick Q: right after posting the above dataset, my VFS tracker online now states - Your processed passport has been dispatched from the Canada Visa Office NEW DELHI. But, my CIC still shows Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made. shouldn't that read Approved?

VFS pick up. Tracked status on VFS online - SMS alerts are rather delayed.

Yesterday I wrote to CPC Ottawa regarding my UCI number. I have received the below reply

Dear Sir/Madam,

Please note that your application is currently being processed at the Centralized Intake Office in Sydney, Nova Scotia.

Please submit any inquiries via our web form and your inquiry will be redirected to the correct office.
secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx

Please note that your UCI number has not yet been created. Once your UCI number is created, you will be able to find this number in future correspondence from our office.

Can you suggest why it went to Sydney. I am a FSW-Outland applicant from India. My AOR is 27th Feb,2017.

1. What exactly is done in background check. My bacground check is in process.

2. I got my ppr and uci number via mail on 7 march and i submitted my passport to vfs delhi on 9 march and it reached visa office on 10 march. When can i expect any update on my cic account ?

3. Is ppr only given to approved candidates or still there is some chance of rejection. I was really worried till this stage and still worried.

I had opted for self pickup at vfs.

Your visa is already stamped, they have asked passport to stamp visa.
