If you are an EE applicant, then no. You cannot check your application status in ECAS because the details of EE files are not maintained in that DB anymore AFAIK.

Agreed...so what is the medical date?

Is it a date of medical test performed and uploaded by the test agency? Or is it a date, when IRCC approves the medical test?

Date when the officer sets it to PASS.

I can plan accordingly. At-least, I can go for the medical towards the end of April 2017, so that the COPR is valid till April 2018.

Yes, get it done as late as possible to give you maximum time for landing.

I submitted the passport on yesterday, 1st Mar 2017 for sending it to High Commission of Canada, New Delhi for PR visa stamping.

Today, morning I received the following email informing that my passport is forwarded to Bangalore which is a serious mistake.

Raised this issue with VFS to confirm that my passport was forwarded to High Commission of Canada, New Delhi and not Bangalore.

Do they go to hibernating mode frequently? I wish they don't before clearing November too!!
But considering recent huge draws they can't afford to go to a sleep

Generally, it is seen that medical takes two weeks to two months to approve. So in my case, if I submit the application in April 2017 and my medical are passed by IRCC officer in June 2017, does it mean that I will get the landing time frame till June 2018. If yes, that would be great. Please let me know if I have correct understanding of the point.
