quick question guys
how CIC or provinces verify your reference letters if the applicant is outside of Canada? I have not heard that they call the applicant employers. may be I am wrong and have little knowledge.
please confirm if they call or email your employers.
thanks,

A couple of PNP guys reported Manila VO called them or their employers and then they got their PPR in a few days.

If my employer and/or I already got verification calls when I was applying for OINP, do you think I could get another one?

So I have a question- every time I have an update on my application, will I get an email? Or do I have to keep checking?

Hey friends,
One of my friend got her Passport back.
Can anybody please tell me where she can do landing in calgary and how?
Thanks

Is she inland or outland?

Apparently there is a landing office in Edmonton.

From my personal observation it varies, but more often than not, each email corresponds to a profile update, whether it is visible to the applicant or not.
I've seen a few cases of people getting PPR in MyCIC without getting a notification email, for example. Or perhaps the notification email was delayed a few hours and they were just excited and posted in this forum.

I see, thank you!
So after having submitted my application on Friday night, I have so far not received any emails- how long until I start getting any?

You should get the AOR and a "ghost email" shortly after submitting your application, but since the CIC site was down over the weekend, they just might have been delayed until the site resumes normal operation.
After the AOR, if you did your medicals at least 2 weeks ago, you might get it passed in a few days.

I got the AOR within an hour of submission as well as the emails!
I had my medicals done two months ago as well, so hopefully there will be no problem there in the processing, and I can get it passed soon :)
