1- As far as I know, they give you 30 days.

2- If your passport has less than 6 months validity, they will not stamp your visa after PPR.... you will probably have to renew it ...

Agree with it. You can also apply for renewal of your passport and when you get it Send it through CSE.

I got my AOR on Nov 28 and My passport was expiring on Jan 2017, considering amount of time CIC may take for processing to be on safer end, I send my passport for re-issue (not renew) around Jan 13 as my passport was valid for 10 years and have to re-issue with new passport number.

I will have send email to CPC Ottawa or will send CSE to have them update with my new passport number.

Hello Guys,

My file was transferred to my local office (in my country, Embassy) it was in Ottawa before 20 Jan 2016, I just called CIC now and they said, they transferred it to the local embassy office on 20 Jan 2016.

Here is my timeline:

PNP outland

ITA 2 OCt 2015
App sumibtted and AOR 9 Oct 2015
Medical passed like a week after
Annex 4a/4 asked at the end of NOV 2015
IMM5669 asked on 20 Dec 2015
background check changed to in progress on 26 Dec 2015
BG status changed changed to not needed at this time on 20 JAN 2016 ( where they transferred my file, so yes you right, when they transfer your file to VO, BG check swiches to NOT needed at this time )

Is it normal for everyone to got his file transferred from Ottawa to his local embassy VO ? is it for every one, or just for some if they want to check more your file, please ?

Also, the fact it was transferred, does it mean it did not get rejected at any moment, or it does not mean antyihng, they still can transfer it ?

Well, today i called the high commission .. they told us that it might take 5-8 weeks..!!! even for the urgent service..!!!!

we have already passed three months after our application.. really dont understand what should i do.. what will happen if we get request for PP and cant send it to CIC? will CIC reject our application? what would be the consequences???

Hi PNP Experts!!

I have a doubt regarding the PNP nomination validity.

I am a NOV AOR under OINP category. The application is under progress as it is the case for all NOV AOR.

But the OINP nomination expiry date is Apr 2016. In this case, if I am not getting PPR/PR by that date (Most probably not) then will it be impacting my application?

Do I need to request OINP for fresh nomination. Comments are highly appreciated

You can request an extension to submit the passport provided you are giving a valid reason with proof. They will not reject your PR for requesting an extension.

thanks a lot for your reply.. well, our (me & my wife) passport will be expire on september 3rd.. we applied for EEPR on November 4th.... we should've renewed it earlier..but its our mistake that we forgot.. now we are worried..

are your quiet sure that we can request for an extension? and do you know how to do that? i mean what's the procedure?

No. If you read the text on your certificate, the expiry date just means the date by when the PR application has to be lodged. So it's fine.
