PR Application Status Tracker account - No Surname in passport

Hello all,

Hope you're doing well!

I've applied for my wife’s PR through the Spousal Family Sponsorship program 5 months ago, we have received the application + UIC numbers.

We’re trying to create an account in the ‘Application Status Tracker account’‘ portal https://ircc-tracker-suivi.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/register My wife’s passport (issued in India) does not have a ‘Surname’, the passport only has her complete name displayed in the ‘Given name(s)’ field. And, while applying for the PR, we’ve entered all your given name(s) in the surname field and leave the given name field blank, as per IRCC’s instructions in https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=014&top=4

She has already given her medical exam and passed it, and I have received the so we’re trying to check the status of the application now.

When trying to create the application status tracker account, the First name (given name) and Last name (family name, surname) fields are mandatory, and we tried all combinations, but it just says ‘Incorrect or invalid information’.

Could someone suggest or guide us on how we can get past this and create the tracker account.

I'm having the same issue. My spouse's passport doesn't have a surname either and we filled out the whole name in the family name field and left the given name field blank for the forms but I can't do the same here because both are mandatory. I keep getting the same popup "Incorrect or invalid information. Review and make sure it matches the information submitted on the Use of a Representative [IMM 5476] form or the Authority to Release Personal Information to a Designated Individual [IMM 5475] form. If you can’t create an account, it may be because your client’s application is not in our system yet." Just curious, did you fill any of those two forms (i.e.) IMM5476 or IMM5475 while submitting the application ?

Please let me know as well if you found a solution to the issue.

We’ve managed to find a workaround.

The PR application tracker portal gives us the option to enter the details of either the applicant/sponsor. We managed to enter my information/details and were able to successfully to create the account.

UCI differs for you and your wife, we got burnt out multiple attempts by entering my wife’s UCI multiple times.

To add, we’ve also managed to track my wife’s application through the GCKey portal.

the UCI & File number are used to link the application here, and I personally found this portal to have more information than the new PR tracker, which is still a WIP.

Hi Praveen,

I used the UCI and application number with my details and it allowed me to create an account. Thank you very much for the help.
Also just to clarify, I received an email from IRCC about my wife's application but she hasn't received any correspondence on her email yet. The UCI and application number that I received are my (sponsor's) UCI and application number right ? and I should be expecting my wife to receive an email separately that has her UCI and application number ? or only a different UCI with the same application number ?

hey ..i had the similar situation. i used space key in place of first name and typed full name in last name . it worked for me ..hope it will help you as well

Your wife’s UCI number is provided in the AOR email, this is the very 1st email communication from IRCC once they received the pr application. Hope you receive this soon.

AOR is sent to sponsor so the UCI is the one from sponsor. PA UCI will be shown with MR/BIL letter sent to the applicant.

However, if you have an UCI as sponsor and you can register in GCKEY, that portal will provide PA UCI in the details that you can then use to create an account in PR Tracker. This is how I managed to create ours by doing GCKEY first after getting AOR and before my wife get her MR/BIL.

as i am having a same issue i do not have a surname in my passport, so in all the forms, i have entered my given name in family name filed and left the given name field blank.
so, now in the status tracker both are mandatory.
please help

hey!

The workaround that fixed the login issue is to create a tracker account for the sponsor/applicant who has both the names in the passport. FYI: the UCI would be different for the sponsor & applicant. I was not familiar about this and it burnt me on multiple attempts. Hope this helps!

you mean if i have only given name in my passport and in the form i have entered given name in my family name field and left given name blank.
i cannot create an account?

hello

need help please. I am able to successfully register for the PR Application tracker. I have received the AOR (if thats what it is called- confirmation on sponsor eligibility) I received it on Jan 5, 2024. But i am unabke to link my application in the IRCC Portal through Sign in Partner option where i already have an account. If someone can guide in detail, I would be grateful. also, I have tried all option even using UCI and application number.
