They requested Schedule A and Police certificate from one of the countries I lived

May i ask how long does it take to obtain the police certificate and submit to CIC?

We have similar timeline. CIC requested Schedule A and Police certificate from Hong Kong. However, it took quite a while since the Hong Kong police certificate was sent by Hong Kong police to Canada by mail.

Similar case.
Mine was police certificate from Japan. I was given 2 months to submit the certificate, and the Japanese embassy also said it will take about 2 months or more, since it is going to be mailed from Japan.
To speed up the process, I requested that they contact me when it is ready so my brother in Japan can go pick it up. My brother received it and emailed me the digital copy in about 6~7 weeks

I called CIC today, and same status as 3 weeks ago, other stuff passed but security still in progress.

20 days left till 6 month.

By the way, the agent confirmed my file is till in Calgary.
