myCIC status for background check showing "in progress" since January 12, 2016. Paper FILE location as of Sept 2, 2016 is CPC-OTTAWA : PACE (transferred from CIO Sydney NS) am not keeping high hope to get PPR soon because I am SEPT 2015 applicant.. while some of JUNE JULY and AUGUST applicants still waiting for their PPR.

Question! It seems like there's a good chance August will be getting PPR in Nov (15 months). IF it does happen, how long does it usually take to get passports back? I was planning on visiting my family in the States for Christmas, but if CIC still has my passport I may have to change my plans.

Atleast 2 weeks before. But read some thread says been 1.5 months that has been sent but the code for mailing back to u has not been activated.

I am August 12, applicant. Recieved my GCMS notes today Eligibility/Medical/security all passed crminality in progress.
I need help in understanding "LOCATION: PS DEPENDENT ISSUE"
What does this means??
My understanding is pre screening my spouse!! I would appreciate if someone can clarify??

Hi guys!

If u got ur file located CPC Ottawa visa office that is ready for passport request. Ottawa is the one incharge for passport request. So hoping till first week of october it will rain ppr june july and august!

My background change in progress Sept 24, and received email to my cic for the update!!

It coming....

I read that today at least 5 applicants form June got PPr email...and this last week also a few more from June, they r working again =)

hopefully they start with july and august very soon

As far as I know, the second officer goes through the case file of PA and any dependent and make it ready for visa after carefully going through all the info. If you got your GCMS report before and you passed all criteria you should have PACE OTTAWA and should expect email any day. Hope this helps!!

Yesterday Sept 28 my background check changed to "in progress", and I received the update-email around 8am

by the way on my GCMS-notes the due date is 9 Nov 2016
