Is it under security check ? did they gave you any timeframe in which it will be done ?

I have called and sent an email to follow up a month ago and finally last week they replied back to me:
"Application is awaiting review by an officer.
Each application is date stamped on the date it is received at CIO-Sydney and processed in date received order."
I have no idea what it means. I think it says, you should still wait!!!

It is so frustrating...I'm August 6 and still waiting for PPR. Every time I call CIC they say my security check is under processing.

Hello all,

Im officially a PR now after 3 years of paperwork
PNP took me 18 months
PNP based PR took me 19 months

I have lost a lot of hair over it, like literally its thinned up

My Time line
Date of appli.: June 17th 2015
jan 10th 2017- decision made
jan 13th 6:13 PM - received PPR email
jan 17th - ottawa received passport
jan 26th - passport delivered back to me
jan 28th - Landing

Landing was pretty simple, flagpoling at US customs, received the yellow refusal letter, turned around, went to O canada customs, took my passport/my refusal letter/ confirmation of PR, old stupid closed work permit. got my confirmation of PR as in Landing paper, crossed off the single entry visa, passport back and some pr info thingie, Handshake n took a piss of freedom right outside on the right at the public toilet, Coutts.

I no more have breathing problems which is good

Hi Dears,

I applied 2nd September 2015 and got my UCI in November 2015 and since then I have been waiting for next step. Total overall time has gone to 17 months. I am getting worry what is going on! they say overall time for PNP paper based is 16 months and still no news. I applied for GCMS notes and one month is gone that I have not received any answer in regard of GCMS even!

yes it was PNP PR paper based, just me in application. it took so long cuz well, they screwed up my email info, did not attach my medical report on time. basically they were extremely clumsy and cuz its paper based they no longer care about these pnp apps

As per my GCMS notes, which I received few days back, my file is at Islamabad since beginning of 2016 and no action until now.
I am really worried and don't know whats going on....

Hello everyone
Posting in this thread after a long long time. Just to update you all that yesterday after the wait of 18 months after the application submission I have recd.the MR from ADVO.
And today they have asked for RPRF + Schedule A(again) + Police clearance for UAE ( as the old one is 12 months old) + Additional Family information form(again).

I have a question if anyone could help me in that.
Me and my family have travelled after the application submission to 2 countries for tourism and training. Now I have to update that information but as I have linked my application to MyCIC I cannot find any specific place or link to attach the updated Supplementary Travel Information Form.
Can anyone tell me as to how I can update my travel information to the Visa Office.
Will they accept it through the email or it has to be attached in MyCIC only?
Would really appreciate any of your responses.
