PR App rejected .....Advise on reapply

Hi All,

My application has been rejected with the following notes .
Your application was assessed based on the occupation(s) which you identified as part of your skilled work experience in Canada: Computer Analyst (NOC 2171).

I am not satisfied that you meet the skilled work experience requirement. You did not submit a letter of reference from your employer specifying your job title, duties, responsibility and salary while in Canada. Although you submitted a deputation agreement, and letters indicating your salary in Indian rupees, you did not submit any documentation that indicated what experience you obtained in Canada. As such, I am not satisfied that you meet the skilled work experience requirement.

Following an examination of your application, I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of the Act and Regulations for the reasons explained above. I am therefore refusing your application.

In this scenario, can I send a letter from my employer specifying my job duties, my salary and designation etc now and can I request them to reevaluate my application? Do we have any spare time limit? or Do I need to apply freshly again? Appreciate your advise.

Reading the other posts in this forum, I believe you need to reapply.

(you can search the word "Reject" [top right corner] in this forum and that should pull up all the posts related to application being rejected.)

Sorry to hear that man! But there si no such thing as sending them documents after decision made which means your only option is to Re-apply with all the mising documents.

One thing I am confused about why would you even mention Indian Rupees currency in your application to CIC. It should have been Canadian currency and all relevent documents to prove that. I am confused? Did you apply inside Canada or are you outside Canada and sent your documents somewhere else?

Dear umairz,

I have applied from within Canada only. I have provided them my offer letter, my annual increment letters for the last 4 years as proof of my employment. As I am working for an Indian Company, all my salary details in those documents will be mentioned in INR only. However, in order to prove my Canadian salary, I have provided all my pay stubs for the last 24 months, ( which shows my salary in CAD) and the bank statement showing my payroll transactions and a letter from my client (not from my employer), explaning my duties that I am carrying out. If they relate them logically, I have provided everything that they need. However, they are looking for a single straight forward document, which states my duties, role and salary when I am working in Canada. I know that it is not a proper evaluation, but, nothing can be done from my end.

I heard from some of my friends that when they received such a rejection letter from CIC, they provided the missing document and requested for a re evaluation. and of course, they are successful. Let me try that before thinking of reapply.

Do you mean details of my application process stages?
My application was reached them on 11th Oct 2011
It was transferred to Ottawa Pilot on Dec 9th 2011
An additional document was requested on Dec16th, 2011
I have sent the document/explanation on Jan9th, 2012.
They sent their decision of refusing my application today (Jan 17, 2012).

I am not sure if I can provide a letter from my employer and request them to re evaluate. Can I do that?

Ok it makes sense now. but it's interesting that your friends were able to provide them with the missing document and they were successful. This is something new. But there you go man, you got yourself a second chance. Use it and try your best.

And I do understand your frustration as you mentioned that you submittes every possible document to support your application but not the letter from employer and they rejected, which really doesn't make sense but that's what they are doing these days. Alot of people are reporting that. But i guess it is what it is man. If they wanna do it that way noone can do anything about it and it's unfortunate. And now even if you re-apply remember according to new guidelines you have to submit the reference letter. There is no exception to this. But I wish you luck and hopefully sending them the reference letter will yield some good results.

As I said before, reading all the posts with rejected application in the forum ... everyone suggested to re-apply instead of re-sending the missing/incorrect document in the rejected application. However, I don't see any harm in resending the correctly drafted employment letter from your employer to CIC again. If they say, the case is closed you always can re-apply. If they consider your new documents, you are in luck. Make sure you write a brief cover letter when you resend the documents explaining the situation and appealing them to re-consider...

And just make sure you give your boss/HR the checklist of all the points that the letter should contain. I did that in my case... and I specifically told them to add all the points mentioned in the checklist to the letter.

Hi All,

I am confused with my application status now. I have received the "Application number" which starts with E, when the file has been transferred to Ottawa Pilot. I have not received the AOR / File number yet. I was not even asked to attend medicals.

Based on these details, I am assuming that my application has been verified for completeness and refused to process. Does this mean, I will be getting my application back? Not sure... so many questions and so confused stage ..... Plz help.

Sorry to hear that. You will not get your application back. It becomes the property of the gov't of Canada.

Initial screening starts with language and security, so they did in fact process your application. As CEC is a pass/fail system, the VO was not satisfied that you met the work experience requirement and hence rejected your application. So no need to request medicals.

They say every disappointment is a blessing, and while that seems hard to imagine in your present state of mind, just remember to stay strong, have belief and above all, do not give up.

That was your AOR, and the "E"number is your file number....which means it passed the completeness review and was processed. Sorry, you will not be getting your documents back.

hey cecapp369,

sorry to hear that your application got refused. Before re-applying try to order CAIPS/GCMS notes and find out all the reasons recorded by visa officer, so that it will be helpful and can be corrected while re-applying. Since you have already got your AOR number (starts with E******), application (documents) will not be sent back and initial bank draft will not be refunded.....

While re-applying
1) You can order IELTS results copy
2) Police clearance is valid for 1 year as per the new checklist.

Seniors,
Can we use the existing IELTS and Police clearance from the rejected PR application file, or do we need to send a new copy of IELTS and PCC ?

Unless there was an issue with IELTS score or the PCC, the old ones can be reused if they are still valid.

Here is the confusion ... both PCC and IELTS score original certificates were submitted. How can they be reused? We can ask IELTS score to be sent to Immigration directly. How about the PCC? Can we mention them referring to our previous application that both were submitted? Will they link the new application to the old and refer these?

IELTS Score card can be obtained again from the IELTS center for a fee.
Actually if you appear IELTS exam for Immigration reason they give you two copies at first place, I got 2 copies of results.
Regarding PCC, you will have to reapply to obtain it again.
I don't know if giving reference of old application can do or not. Sorry for my previous reply where I said PCC can be reused.
