Just FYI to CEC-inland, whose passports have less 6 valid months, I got good news: mine will expire on December 28 this year and they gave my visa (shown on account) until that date too. I didn’t renew my passport and sent it on the day I got PPR email, as they mentioned in the letter that:

“To avoid complications with international travel, it is recommended that your passport(s) be valid for at least 6 months. Your passport must have at least two blank pages.
Since they didn’t use “must” for passport validity but only “recommended”, I believe I should be fine for doing that (and today it approves I was right).
Right. We should get it Tuesday. Keep in touch! Have a nice long weekend

I’m on my way to Thousand Island now:p

Finished my landing at Thousand Island (about 3-hr driving from Toronto) at 5:45 pm. There was only me in the whole building and it just took me 15 mins. Details can be seen in my signature.

Wish everyone gets their golden news nearly soon!!!

Just one question, after you sent your PPR
to Ottawa, did you get your Visa and COPR sent to you or you got your COOR after flag poling?

Yes, ofc before flag poling, if you could see my signature or previous posts on the same page.

What are the other documents needed to send along with your passports

They are all written in your PPR letter as shown below:
“STEP 3: PREPARE YOUR DOCUMENTS
1. Passport(s) OR photocopy(ies) of passport(s), as explained in Step 2.
2. Two (2) photos of yourself and of each accompanying family member. See our specifications at www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/pdf/5445EB-e.pdf
3. One pre-paid return envelope so that we can return your passport(s) and Confirmation of Permanent Residence documents. See Step 4 for instructions regarding the return envelope.
4. The completed and signed Annex A listing your current mailing address.”

What really happened when you got to border?
Just trying to figure out at what the officers requested and how things went from there?
