My application was just approved today! Haven’t reveived any messages/emails from them though.

I also don’t have the tracking number of the prepaid envelope I sent to them in the package(I was foolish and forgot to take a picture). Should I be expecting it in the mail sometime next week? Or will there be another notification on the account with a tracking number?

Email comes the following day, so probably tomorrow in your case.

NO notifications on cic account after this till you land and get your PR card. I don't know which mail company you used but you can always find tracking number on the billing receipt . Yes it usually gets delivered within a week after approval.

Thanks for the reply. I used Xpresspost and my billing receipt just has the tracking number for the ongoing envelope that I sent them (not the return one). I guess this just means I should wait for it in the mail? Or do you think if I call CIC they’d have the tracking number? A little anxious as my last passport was lost by Canada Post right before the PPR came in.

From my past experience, the passports are ready for pick up on Saturday's for Canada post. Canada post doesn't work on weekends so your passport might be picked up on Monday. I would expect to receive by Tuesday or late by Wednesday.

I also got a bar in my EE profile with Name, UCI, Document (Counterfoil), Document number, Status, Expiry day, Status Updated Date, Travel Document Number, Country of Issue.


By your experience, I'd like to know what do u think of my current situation here, how much time it would take to receive my passport back. And another question, I've read about a Passport tracker (?), at what moment I receive this number (and where can I find it?)

For most people in US, passprt takes 1 week to arrive after application approval. Don't know about other countries.

Finally our application got approved today. Now waiting to get the passport back.

Application approved: 04/11

We are so relieved, as Fedex did some goof up with the package and we were worried to death about losing our passports. Can't sleep till I can hold my passport in my hand again. But really happy with the fast turnaround time!

I got the email on 28th March for passport submission. I had a family function in India and was going to fly from Us to India on 3rd April so I requested Ottawa office to change my passport submission center to India. But it's been 15 days now and there is no reply from them. Should I still send my passport to Ottawa office or wait for their response and submit it in India. Has anyone been in a similar situation?. I still have my mailing address in US.

Maybe you can try to call CIC? Or try to ask for extension of submission date.
