PPR stamping and landing at buffalo question

Morning all

Just a few quick questions for anyone in the know, Intending to go down to buffalo next week from toronto to get my PPR stamped, then planning on heading back over the bridge and landing in buffalo.

1. I have around 2.5 months left on my current work permit, will I have a problem entering the states?

2. I plan on taking a greyhound bus, when re-entering canada and landing as a PR will there be a problem? I know that my landing as an immigrant may cause problems with the bus schedule, will I have to go to immigration and then let the bus go, taking a later bus?

3. I will be going down with my canadian gf, will she be aloud into the buffalo PPR center to wait with me?

British citizens generally do not require a visa for the U.S. However, you must register your visit prior to arriving via the Electronic System for Travel Authorization. You will have to pay an entry fee of $6 to go into the U.S.

Personally, I'd go alone to avoid complicating the entry to the U.S. and returning to Canada. Even if your girlfriend has a Canadian passport, there are always more questions the more people that are crossing the border.

I went in person to Buffalo to get the P.R. visa. It took about 90 minutes from the time that I go to the consulate to the time that I was done. I wasted a few hours in Buffalo, and then I landed in Ft. Erie. It only took about 20 minutes to complete the immigration paperwork and customs import forms.

Thanks for the heads up, I registered with ESTA and got the approval. I think I will still bring the gf, (canadian) and just face the extra questions, will be an awfully boring trip otherwise.
