Thanks, mine is 13th Jan, not sure if travelling would be allowed by then. any idea, what would be the next step if they don't lift the travel ban?
I'm not sure. Those whose coprs expired during the last few months have been allowed to get them extended. I presume this is what will happen for us.
I am hoping that travel exemptions will be made for all COPR holders.

New Delhi VAC has started accepting passports by courier only.

{{If you received a passport request letter and an email with courier instructions from us, you can submit your passport to the VAC by courier only.
  • Do not submit your passport without printing and including the courier instructions email.
  • Please check the VAC website for details before sending your passport.}}

All Indians out here, please keep this forum posted if you have any updates regarding your application. All the best. Hope November will bring us good news :)

But in travel restrictions they have permitted all who have got PR
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...s-covid19/travel-restrictions-exemptions.html
the cic website still says:
You are exempt from the current travel restrictions and can come to Canada if you have a valid COPR, and
  • the COPR was issued on or before March 18, 2020, or
  • the COPR was issued after March 18, 2020 and you are an immediate family member sponsored by a Canadian citizen or permanent resident (note that grandparents are not considered immediate family members and cannot come to Canada at this time), or
  • you’re currently living in the U.S. and will be coming to Canada directly (transiting through the U.S. to Canada doesn’t apply)

I think they have good news for Indians very soon. It seems they intend to release the news on November 2nd.
I really wish they had some good news for all of us.
Really frustrating this wait
I think you are referring to this point right?

"For those who are registered under Canada’s Indian Act, on Monday, November 2, 2020, we will be making updates to this web page that may impact you. "

As far as I know this is part of the Indigenous peoples in Canada.
